Importing Many RSS Feeds…

Hi all and thanks in advance for your assistance.

I am a podcast network and need to import many, many podcast show feeds. We’re talking somewhere around 20,000 category (episodes) posts. The SUPER big need is to import directly where the player is “prechecked” so it recognizes that there is a media file being called from that feed.

Obviously, after everything is imported, we’ll publish into WP…but for now, I need to move everything into WordPress. I’m ok with leaving the media files on Spreaker. But I just need the import to turn on the player automatically.

Is there a way to detect something and do: if the media file is present in the RSS import, than display the player?

Hello –

Before I start setting up our calendar, I’d like to know if it’s possible to import a feed from an external website’s calendar. But they do not have an .ics format, only RSS I believe. Is this possible?

And if so, is it also possible to import from multiple sources? Is it automatic or do we have to manually do it each time?

Don't use revision and store all the items

First of all, best rss plugin I try, congratulation,

I have just on issue, when i want to update this kind of rss, just 5 items are stored, but 15 are available.

This is the message I get : Update complete. 5 new posts were syndicated; 10 alternate versions of existing posts were stored for reference

All this rss items looks alike but the picture or content are unique.
On what basis the plugin estimate that an item is a revision, an update or new ? Can you indicate me where i can switch off this “revision” feature ?

How do I import a blog from weebly

Now that there is no Google Reader, I am having trouble finding out how to import rss feed to wordpress. Is there a way to import a blog from weebly to wordpress? I have tried the plugin: WP RSS Multi Importer which imported 10 feeds, but how do I import the rest?

In short I want to import an RSS feed into a sidebar plugin.

The feed is hosted by another site. The link works, I am able to subscribe to it. Here is the link:

The problem is when I insert this feed it says RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn’t connect to host.

What do I need to import this feed? Is it really an issue on there side? RSS is a little out of my normal scope, any help would be SO appreciated! Thank you!

I know this is possible because I know another company using it, but I cannot figure it out.

I have an RSS feed that is updated constantly from one of my websites. I want to take that data and have it imported into my WordPress blog. I know I can Import and RSS feed but it makes me pull in a file. Isn’t there a way to do this automatically, maybe once an hour or something?

Import RSS/XML data with html into WordPress

You can use HTML in posts by using the custom fields [HTML], but what if you are importing RSS/XML data into WordPress and would like the import to default to HTML not Visual code?

I have an excel spreadsheet that will be converted to XML but can’t figure out how to convert the HTML code. Is this possible or does the HTML have to be converted to bbcode?

Importing from RSS with special charachters fails. It seems like the RSS-reading function in wordpress stops at the first special charachter of every post and then jumps to the next post.

“Connection reset” error when importing RSS

I am trying to import an RSS feed into a new WP install. When I tried to upload the selected RSS feed I get an error of the form:

The connection was reset.

“The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.”

in Camino. I have made wp-content writable by everyone and can upload files. Strangely, I have an old version of WP (2.0.10) where I tested an RSS import. It worked there. Seems like this is a server-side problem.
