How to move posts from dropinblog to WordPress?

We have been using DropinBlog for our website’s blog section. However, as we are in the process of transferring some of our sites to WordPress, we encountered an issue in moving DropinBlog to WordPress. Specifically, we found that DropinBlog doesn’t provide database access, and we could only export in a CSV file. Unfortunately, when we tried to import the CSV file containing more than 200 articles and around 2500 images into our WordPress site, we were unsuccessful.

We have tested several popular plugins, including WP All Export, Import CSV or XML Datafeed With Ease (Free version only). However, most of them do not download images, while others get stuck in the middle.

I need help to import these articles. Is there any way to import them on WordPress with images?

Import posts with featured images

I have an old website that I need to move. The site has been heavy during the year and when I use wp migration I get more than 44,000 files even when I only choose database and media files, although the site only count 100 posts and not too many images…

I want to only import the posts with the featured images.
A minimalistic export would make the site lighter, and that is what I’m looking for. I haven’t found a good way to include the featured images, and when I found this plugin today I had a chat with jiju fabio that recommeneded me to post my question here.

I downloaded the free plugin of “Import All Pages, Post types, Products, Orders, and Users as XML & CSV” and chose Export Posts, and then XML format. but there is no option to include “featured images” there neither. So I would like to know what I need to do so the images are included in the backup. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

wp import fails to import contents

Hello,
I exported the wp-data (posts, pages, comments etc) using wp-export tool in the WordPress. Now it cant import and generates the following error

Sorry, there has been an error.
The file does not exist, please try again.
I checked the upload folder and the file exists there. Here are the screenshots attached.

Facebook to Jetpack : “Transfer a copy of your information” feature

Hi guys,

I tried a few days ago to transfer all my Facebook posts to one of my website using the new feature provided by Facebook.
It seemed it all went well as I followed each step and it succeeded, except I see no new posts on my website dashboard.

The one thing I am thinking about that would explain my posts weren’t transferred/imported is that I am using a free version of Jetpack.

Any idea, suggestion, explanation would be greatly appreciated as this is really a very useful trick.
The other solution I have is to import all my posts to my WordPress using classical import options (plugins, CSV, database queries…) ; which is doable but really less fluid.

Everything updated but feed not loading

Hi there Spotlight,

When I try to Import Posts I’m getting this error message:

Argument 1 passed to RebelCode\Iris\Item::create() must be of the type int, string given, called in /kunden/242969_10435/webseiten/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/spotlight-social-photo-feeds/core/Engine/Providers/IgProvider.php on line 46

I’ve tried everything I could find on the forum but it still won’t work I’m afraid.

I’m running:

Spotlight 0.5
Wordpress 5.5.3
Avada 7.1.1

Everything was fine until a couple of days ago, if you have any ideas that would be great, thanks!

Is it possible to create your own csv file to import into wordpress by the use of another plugin? I.E. – create a list of posts that would be imported into a seperate plugin; WP Recipe Maker

Variable product syncing problem

We tried this new plugin and product importing did not work. Most of our products are variable products and there is also many attributes linked to the product.

Erply notice: “Error occured: Product 194086 has more than 3 attributes and can not be synchronized with Erply.”

We tested the plugin in our shadow developing site.

I really like this plugin, because it has all that it takes to make stunning newsletters. I use it for my own business and for one of my cli?nts.
The interface is very intuitive, and has beautiful themes. And because it’s located inside the website, you can import your posts very easily.
I already used both free and paid plan, but recently they made the premium plan free up to 1000 subscribers.
Last but not least .. The customerservice is great too!

I was excited to find this but now a little sad

The one time out of several I tried using the importer to export and then import media and/or posts, it seemed to work but it pulled over a bunch of short code that was maybe the fault of the theme I was pulling from. That said I tried just pulling some media files from one WP install to another and it got the titles but every single image file failed to import from the export files. I am inspired to seek other solutions at this point. If I try again to use it and my experience changes I will update this rating but for now it is barely worth the one star.

Plugin not working

As the title implies, the plugin isn’t working. It’s been more than 24 hours since I installed it. Doesn’t work either as a widget. I was actually looking for an inline related posts plugin, came across this one and wanted to give it a try. Looks very nice and intuitive in the back end but nope, it doesn’t work
