Hello,
Is there a plugin or some such that lets one simply copy the web address of an article into it and generates a full imbedded teaser as a blog post. I know facebook has figured out a way to do this with their “recommend” feature. For some reason, when I recommend something on facebook, they pull all the article information and create a very nice teaser. Any ideas?

For information, I am starting out as a writer and have had a few articles published in a traditional news paper. My articles are all online. What I am trying to do is build myself a blog (it is still in progress but up and running on my local machine) that I can simply feed the newspaper article addresses into. I want it to then auto publish a blog post with a little snippet of my article and a “read more” link to the main article on the newspaper website. The end result will be an online portfolio of articles that individuals can read. Thanks so much for the help!

Inserting google docs spreadsheet

After publishing a google docs spreadsheet and then copying it’s URL, I cannot seem to use this URL to embed the published spread sheet into a page. Can someone explain the procedure to use.

Is there a page length limit when using iframe?

We just installed our new web site and have one iframe page that links to a custom web-based calendar. This worked fine, until we really started populating the calendar. (see https://www.curtislibrary.com/programs-events/library-calendar/) It appears that once the list of events gets long enough wordpress simply stops displaying it. Since it’s not a post, the setting on how many posts per page shouldn’t apply so far as I can tell. There is a size specified with the iframe command, but it changes the size of the imbedded window, not the WP page. If I change that number it changes where the scroll bar ends up on the page, but not where the actual event display gets cut off. So for October the cut off is something like oct 22, and for november (not quite so busy) it’s november 28/29.

Any thoughts on how to get past this glitch?

Scribd now provides what they call “badges” which are snippits of html code that imbed navigation buttons which readers / site visitors, can use to navigate to Scribd locations (i.e. documents, groups, profiles). Can anybody advise me how such code can be inserted into one’s blog without messing-up the design format of your site.

The snippets work like a You Tube navigation imbed code.

I have a web page for an organization. I want to create a bullein board where members can post announcements that will show up on the home page. Can I get their submissions on Word Press to show up on a frame in the web page?
