I set up your plugin but cannot send test emails and my contact form is not reaching its gmail destination.

With or without SSL / TLS 465 / 587.

So, I have been researching.

Should my gmail account IMAP settings be enabled ?

Should I add my gmail address to my server ?

Are there any other settings I should be concerned with ?

Should there be any changes to my DNS records, etc. ?

As we launch new e-commerce store, the e-mails that the customers are receiving seem to be coming from my personal g-mail account, not from the business…At least my name keeps appearing in the IMAP header…

I’m trying wsdesk and I would like to configure it properly.

I want to configure the IMAP settings but it doesn’t save my settings, so I cannot configure it. I’m missing something?

PS: I’m not using gmail, I use an email created in my cpanel (with my own domain)

WP Mailster suddenly saying cannot authenticate

I’ve been using WP Mailster quite happily for about three years and it has suddenly stopped working. I haven’t changed any settings and the plugin hasn’t been updated. When I test the connection, the error is Authentication failed. Cannot connect to IMAP server.
Retrieve inbox status says Inbox not ok, check your settings.

The server is accepting incoming messages to the mailing list but is not sending them on and they’re not showing in the WP Mailster queued emails. Messages are clearly arriving at the server and being accepted but WP Mailster can’t get to them.

I’m using IMAP port 993, SSL.
The mailbox is nowhere near full.
I cannot stress enough – this was working fine until last week, nothing has been changed and now it isn’t working. I’ve tried all the other configuration options, I’ve deleted and reinstalled the plugin and I’ve tried rolling the site back to a version from when it worked. It still doesn’t work.

I have been looking and searching for a way to authenticate users through IMAP, but so far, i have only been able to find one very old plugin.

Does anyone know if there is a suitable plugin, or an easy way to authenticate users against an IMAP server when they login?

Hi, I’ve been using this plugin for a long time with great success, but now it suddenly stopped working.

I’m getting the following error when testing:

Postie server: imap.gmail.com

Postie port: 993

Unable to connect. The server said: IMAP – Could not connect to IMAP server imap.gmail.com on port 993. Array

Postie 1.9.53 on WordPress 5.5.1 is not connected with Gmail IMAP server

I’ve installed postie 1.9.53 with WordPress 5.5.1 and as shown in the user guide I’ve created a gmail account, enabled IMAP and did the process as the guide but the IMAP server is not connected. Produced the following result in the test config page.

Postie connection: sockets
Postie protocol: imap-ssl
Postie server: imap.gmail.com
Postie port: 993
Unable to connect. The server said: There was an error connecting to the server php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

Unable to connect to server, TLS handshaking

Using Postie 1.9.52, am unable to connect to imap server. The debug just says there was a problem connecting to the server. I dug around in dovecot’s server logs for both imap and pop3 (I tried connecting to both), and the error message I get is:

TLS handshaking: SSL_accept() failed: error:14209102:SSL routines:tls_early_post_process_client_hello:unsupported protocol

What googling I have done suggests that my server is requiring a level of TLS higher that what postie is trying to use. My server does require TLSv1.2.

Can you confirm whether that is correct? If it is, is there a way to get postie to come up to this level?

If this is not correct, what would you suggest I try?
