Inserting gallery in post

I’m not new to WP or Nextgen, however, it’s been a long time since I’ve done much with my site. The big reason is that I can’t post images and get the desired outcome. I may post several images from a trip along with some commentary and what I’d like for the outcome is a viewer visits the site/blog post, sees the accompanying images and clicks on an image(s) thumbnail(s) and lightbox will show a larger version of that image. I would either post the images all together, so the viewer might see 5 images and only select the image(s) they want to see a larger version of or I’d post a ‘gallery’ where they could scroll through each of the larger images.

It seems to me that before WP switched to this ‘blocks’ (or just a previous iteration) it was much easier to work with lightbox and image posting. I did look for documentation and see that it dates back 7 years ago.

Hi,
I am using imagebrowser legacy template, If i refresh same image page for more than 1 time my navigation aligning to left. Random widget cache duration set to 0, but no use, i need to Clear image cache every time to fix it.

Hi
I am using an Imagebrowser template in a child theme and I would like to add a link from the large image view back to the gallery thumbnails.
I have multiple galleries so I can’t hardcode this.
Is there a variable that will do this?
Can anybody help me with this?

Slow loading imagebrowser

I am using a child theme with an imagebrowser template and AJAX pagination.
I have installed Litespeed Cache plugin (recommended with our server set up), but the page is still slow loading, and clicking next/prev to scroll through the different images still feels a bit like going to a new page.
Do you have any recommendations for speeding things up?

Basic ImageBrowser fails upon loading image with special characters

Using the “Basic ImageBrowser”, navigating to a picture with special characters, such as Umlaute (??ü), lets the gallery revert to it first entry (or first one without unsupported characters).

Should be pretty straight forward to replicate. Just take any picture, rename it to im?gebrowser.jpg and use it in a imagebrowser gallery.

Issue is in both 2.x and 3.x releases

NGG Gallery’s lightbox – imagebrowser confusion

Hi there, I’ve something a bit odd going on.

1. I click on a thumbnail in a gallery to view the photo in the imagebrowser (the gallery is set up to use the imagebrowser, not the lightbox to display single images).
2. The page goes dark and the photo zooms out as if the lightbox option is set to none.
3. Then this disappears, the page brightens again, and the photo is displayed properly in the imagebrowser.

Is there a way of getting rid of step 2? (Do I have an incorrect setting somewhere?)

I’m using the latest version of NextGen Gallery.

Imagebrowser: How to remove or rename image “folder” in url

I’m using the imagebrowser without ajax functionto display my galleries. What I want is to remove the /image/ in my url structure but I can’t find a solution for that.

How it looks like now:
/test-gallery/pictures/image/picturename1/

What I want is:
/test-gallery/pictures/travel/picturename1/
or
/test-gallery/pictures/picturename1/

Any idea?

Imagebrowser jumps to the top

NextGEN Imagebrowser Gallery
When I click next or back it takes me to the top of the page and I have to scroll down to see the next image. This is very annoying is there a fix for this?

I am using the basic NextGen Plugin.

I have found this problem mentioned twice in the forum (over 6 years ago) and no solution was offered that worked for everybody. I could not try the solutions offered because they both relied on amending the shutter-reloaded plugin via shutter_reloaded.js which I do not have.

I have tested this in Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera browsers all have the same problem so I assume it is not browser specific.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on a very well done plugin. After using it for a while I have a question that has been bothering me. I need to know if it’s possible to keep the page on the same place when hitting the next and back button so as not to default back on the top when it reloads. Is there any script I can use to make that happen? Looking forward to your reply.

NextGen Image Browser when page added via WP Query.

Hello. I am using the nextgen image browser in some pages of my site.

When you view the page with the gallery in it directly, it works. Eg www.mydomain.com/product1.

However, the way my site is setup is that in some sections of the site, page content is loading into other pages via a WP Query. When done this way, the gallery is visible but click on the next button does nothing. No errors shown in console. Just spins and no photo changes happen.

I assume this may be because it doesn’t load a script or add some code like it does when you show the page “normally”. But I dont know what scripts I should be telling it to run.
