When I try an upload a photo for a product I get this error message: File type not valid
In the PPOM fields for that product the file types allowed are: jpg, pdf, png, jpeg
I’ve attached a screenshot of the upload your image settings.
How can I fix this issue?
Thank you,
Amy
]]>The only plugins I have activated are Akismet and Jetpack. I’ve cleared my browser cache, switched to different themes, changed my directory permissions on my uploads folder in my FTP (FileZilla) by following a guide for resetting them. Still nothing has changed.
As this point I’m not sure what to do. I’m running version 5.8.1 of WordPress.
I’m running the Responsive theme from cyberchimps. I recently updated that theme, but was having these issues before that update. In fact I updated the theme in hopes it would fix the issues. But the issues are on the back end.
Any help would be great. Thank you
]]>I have cleared my cache/browsing history
I have reviewed all of my plug-ins and verified they are all up-to-date
I have attempted to upload the photos by going through “Media -> Add New” as well as from within the Media Library.
I have also attempted to upload an image from within a new blog post.
None of these things have fixed the issue. The photos I am attempting to upload are over 2500 pixels, but this has never been an issue for me before. I have previously uploaded photos with well over 6k pixels, no problem.
If anyone has ANY advice on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it! I have new blog posts that I have to get published and feel that I am essentially dead in the water at this point.
Thanks in advance for any help/tips/etc. you can provide.
-Shannon
]]>It seems like every time an upgrade happens, my photos get messed up. Today I see two issues…
1) When I’m in the editor, the images appear to be sized correctly, however when I click on the image they are all listed as “thumbnail” size, when most of them are not. Taking a quick scan of a few pages from a browser, most of the photos appear to be the correct size, although I have come across a couple that I had to be manually re-size properly. I’m concerned that this is a time-bomb and all my pictures will need to manually resized (again).
That said, The bigger issue at the moment is:
2) Some images appear sideways now. I’ve even gone back in to update the image themselves to make sure they are right-side-up and re-add them to a post. When they are “large” they appear fine, however as soon as I resize them to “medium”, they go sideways. Not sure what I am doing wrong – How can I fix this?
Would really appreciate some help here…
FYI – I use Smush on my images. (Please don;t suggest I de-activate Smush – I’m sure that will result in me re-sizing hundreds of images across hundreds of posts/pages)
Thanks,
Mark
]]>I have a website that all of a sudden I’m not be able to upload media to properly, whilst nothing has been added or changed from our side. See screenshot below:
The media looks like it is uploaded but the thumbnail doesn’t display and if I go to the direct link it states ‘The page could not be found’
Does anyone have any experience or any advice in regards to fixing this issue?
Many thanks

]]>1. Images are cropped within the thumbnails so not all of it is visible.
2. One of my thumbnails is a different size than the others, creating spacing issues between other thumbnails. I tried regenerating thumbnails and this did not fix the issue.
3. This may be an issue with WordPress itself, but I get and HTTP error when trying to upload certain images. I spent over an hour on the phone with GoDaddy customer support since WordPress’ support line is a dead end with nobody on the other end. I tried uploading through an FTP client and it still wouldn’t work. He came to the conclusion that it just doesn’t like those particular images for some reason (I tried changing dimensions, resolution, file type, etc to no avail) or it was an issue with my theme of plugins. I disabled my plugins and changed my theme and was able to upload SOME of the images, but others still get an HTTP error (I activated the plugins again and changed the theme back and there seems to be no issue with the images I was able to upload after deactivating the plugins and changing the theme so I don’t think that is the issue) however the color looks off on these images upon upload and on some the color became posterized and all out of whack.
Hope this makes sense. Help ASAP would be appreciated, I need to apply for internships for the Fall semester and I only have a few weeks left. Thanks.
]]>I can add images when I choose to ‘Add Multipe images’ but like I say if I try and add a single new slide or if I remove and existing image from the post, then I can not add an image.
I’ve read plenty online with regards to this and I’ve upgraded my site to WP3.7.1 (also upgraded to theme twenty thirteen). I’ve also turned off all my plugins but still can not resolve this issue.

]]>Each time I try to upload an image, I get the message “Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.” I tried to do it with IE; however, the same message appeared. I have tried using both templates – Twenty Eleven and Twenty Twelve. Please help. I can’t launch the blog until I can get my header in and everything in place. Thank you for your assistance.
