]]>i am having a problem with my blog.
On the chrome the images that i put on the POST are shown( images inside the posts)
but on safari its not showing.
how can i solve this? and on mobile ios is not working too.
can someone help me?
]]>I have flushed the cache for the sites and my browsers
I have disabled all plugins and saw no difference in the images
I have tried switching around the permalinks
I have tried regenerating thumbnails
I have checked my .htaccess and wp-config files
I have not been able to find any new errors in my server logs
I am using the same theme on the main site and that’s working (Divi child theme with only css changes)
The problem manifests as broken images and no thumbnails in the media library. The urls for the broken images look like for example this one:
https://lindaursin.net/kunst/files/2017/08/painted-turtle-scan.jpg
The files are present at the full url, which starts with:
https://lindaursin.net/wp-content/blogs.dir/25/files/2017/08/painted-turtle-scan.jpg
When I upload a new image, that image has the same issues. And the images don’t show up if I click edit.
Since the main site is working, it’s hard to believe that the wordpress core files are at fault but I would love any input as to how to solve this.
]]>So all of my content is still in the folders (I can FTP and see them all) but none of the images are showing up on my page.
I disabled all plug ins and that didnt help.
I reinstalled the theme and tried changing themes. Nothing.
I reinstalled WordPress and still nothing.
When i go to search themes, i can see imaged etc there, but if i download a theme to my site, then I cant see its images.
This isnt just happening with my theme images, but even the pictures on my pages as well.
Thanks for any help.

I have commented out everything in the functions.php file in my child theme folder with the exception of these lines.
`function enqueue_parent_styles() {
wp_enqueue_style( ‘parent-style’, get_template_directory_uri().’/style.css’ );
};
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘enqueue_parent_styles’ );`
But that did not seem to help.
mysite is at www.dieboldhall.com
Is there a way to set a custom image size that shows whatever size image you upload? Or at least a way to stop the zoomed in effect?
Is it a setting on WordPress that I’m messing up?
I’d really appreciate any advice anyone might have.
I’ll attach a link for reference.
Thanks!
So the other day one of my readers wrote to tell me that some of the images in my articles were not loading. The reason I wasn’t aware of this is that the problem only appear in Safari browsers, but I have found out the problem shows in Chrome for iOS. I have not tested on Android phones. It works perfect in Chrome for desktop and Firefox.
Take a look at this article fx: https://stayclassy.dk/laekre-herrebukser/
It is only images with “?” in the file name. Fx. “herrebukser-til-for?ret.png” – ? and ? which are also special Danish characters don’t cause a problem.
I have been in contact with my hosting and theme creators, but the conclusion we came to is that it must be a WordPress bug. The reason we are certain of this is that I have tried on an entirely other website of mine where the exact same problem arises. WordPress simply can’t handle images with “?” in the file name.
I am pretty confident it has to do with one of the recent updates as this doesn’t affect every single article on my website. In fact it is only images in articles from after the WP update the 9. of December where the problem is apparent. I think I updated WP the 13th which explains a few articles from the 10, 11 and 12th of December where images with ? in file name load fine.
My website is www.Stayclassy.dk
I would really appreciate some help here. I think this problem should be addressed directly to WordPress, but it doesn’t seem possible to get in touch with them or even send an e-mail notifying about the problem.
Cheers and thanks in advance,
Joen

]]>This is the best bit, though: after a while, I’ll be able to upload the images. Sometimes it’ll be ten minutes; other times, I’ll need to wait hours. And occasionally, it will allow me to upload some images but not others for absolutely no reason.
Today, I uploaded a 512x512px jpeg to use as my site icon. First, it wouldn’t upload. Then it would, after waiting quarter of an hour. So I went to add it as my site icon and it will not allow me to select it. I can select any of the other images I managed to upload yesterday and it will take me to the next screen, but not the one I specifically designed and sized for the job.
This is driving me crazy because nothing is consistent. How can I fix things when they sometimes work and sometimes don’t?
This is the site in question: https://katiewritesstuff.com
Please help.
