All was working fine, until this morning I created a new post, added a photo (upload media from the media library) to my text, the photo did NOT appear. When I switched from “visual” to “Text” tab, I can see the HTML code for the uploaded photo is there! I also have several static pages, and I am now having this same problem with images on static pages too. This is only a problem with images I want to add to the text (body) as of this morning. All images posted on the static pages prior to today are still working fine. However if I go to edit images on a page or add images, then the problem exists.
Also, Slider images are not affected by this issue, they work fine.

I have not overfilled the 3 GB capacity of the uploaded images, and the image I am uploading is just 500 pixels wide. I can’t find any other support or FAQs which answer my problem.

Images are not Appearing Especially the First Image in every blogPost. I normally have two images and the 2nd image usually appears but the first uploaded and placement in the first before post is not appearing.

This only happened when i tried Multisite but decided to revert even before i could start and i did not even touch anything on the site except change multisite on in config but then removed it afterwards.

Now the problem persists. although sometimes the first image gets to display too sometimes esp. wen there is only one image in post. WTF is happening. i have been with WP for 6 years and this is the first time it happened!!!!!

Both my HTML and CSS validate Firefox’s plugin validator, which links to the WW3 site. I’ve tried single quotes, double quotes, relative links, absolute links, putting the images in an “images” folder and leaving them out of the folder in the same directory as the page. For the life of me I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

In another thread somebody mentioned hotlink protection, but I still haven’t figured out what that is.

If you scroll to the bottom you’ll see all the mangled attempts I made at RSS logo’s, but I’ve been having the same problem with any attempt at inserting an image.

I am building the site offline using Xampp, and can’t get it to work offline or on.

Please help!

*edit: the absolute URL (https://…) does work now. Though it would be better if I could use something relative for when I eventually move the site
