My goal is to use Jetpack to allow me to pull images into WP posts from my Google Photos account. But when I go to compose a post, and choose images, there is no reference to GP anywhere. Looking more closely at the Jetpack setup, it seems like it wants me to create a WP.com account. Since I’m self-hosted, I’ve avoided having a WP.com account, but it appears that some functionality in Jetpack is dependent on having a WP.com account.
What I can’t figure out is, do I need the WP.com account to enable GP image integration? I see a long list of features that are, and are not, dependent on the WP.com account but GP image integration is not listed for either.
My goal, initially, is to be able to use a desktop browser (chrome) to create a WP post, and then pull in images from my GP account.
Thanks for any assistance.

A problem now appears – when loading nested images into a Page.
When you click on “Media-selector” – its display always shows All.
The “/Tearsheets/mag-spreads/Motion-Teacher/” folder does appear at the bottom of the list.

There are 17 images stored in the “Motion-Teacher” folder…

It sure would be nice to have an additional toggle button – to remember the “Last Folder” used.
It would speed up loading those 17 images (one at a time).
***
Or to have the ability to load all 17 images – all at once, to a page…!
Or better – to have “Load All Selected”…
Also remembering the order – as the images were selected.
Maybe not all 17 images are needed on a particular page!

If one could load multiple images, to somehow add a couple “CR” after each image.
This way, all images will appear normally along the left side of the Page, with a couple spaces in between each one.
As compared to having one big image blob – and slowly pulling it apart…

Thanks for making WordPress better…

]]>How should I manage all the images?
After much researching I have only become more confused because I have found there are four general concepts that people use:
> I could just upload all the pics to a single (default) image library and let WordPress figure it out.
> I could let WordPress organize images into month/year folders. However, that might make more sense for Posts/Pages instead of Products.
> Get a Media Gallery plugin that creates folders and stuff everything into categorized folders.
> Or maybe host all images in some cloud service and simply link to them in my WordPress site. I don’t mind paying for this service, and I like this idea because it (potentially) makes restoring from backup much simpler and faster. The loan downside I can see is I will have to figure out how to link to external files instead of the Media Gallery.
I want to get on the right path the from start here, so any thoughts/guidance offered here would be greatly appreciated.
