how to create an image lightbox with an image hover caption effect? I am currently setting up a gallery using the hover caption effect like the one here: https://www.eduardodarosa.com/paintings/americana-2015-today/. However, I would like to add a lightbox when someone clicks on the image a lightbox pops up. How to make that possible? Or, do you have to do custom CSS to make it happen?

I want to enable image lightboxes in the illdy theme for image galleries and single images. I tried 3 different plugins but none of them worked. I guess the problem is theme related.

Do you know how to make that work?

I love this plugin. It was exactly what I needed since the lightbox that OceanWP uses interfered with another plugin I wanted to use. So thank you for that.

However, I’m wondering why there is a weird checkbox that shows up at the top center of the overlay above the enlarged picture. I don’t see it in any of the demos. I’m including a screenshot here. https://ibb.co/fvzwp6Q

Is this a bug that needs to be fixed or if it is something that needs to be fixed on my end, can you steer me in the right direction?

Lightbox pops up behind FooBox in foogallery

I’ve designed a website for a client and they wanted to display a slideshow once the image is clicked on, I’ve done this using FooBox (as the gallery I’m using is FooGallery) but when clicked on the original Lightbox of the image (which doesn’t have any ‘next’ buttons) comes up behind and stays there. Haven’t been able to figure out how to get rid of it.

I have installed this plugin and properly activated this. But this did not take effect on my image gallery (I’m using Foo Gallery and the lightbox was also FooBox). I abandoned using FooBox as it had no zoom/enlarge option for image opened in lightbox.
Now how this is applied ?
What should I have to do?
Is there any shortcode to be added in gallery page code?

How to link a lightbox with images to a button ("More images")

I searched a lot for this on the internet and found many others with the same unanswered question. So the one with a comprehensive solution will contribute a lot to many WP users.

Now this looks to me a very simple demand:
How to make a button “More images” in which you click, and then appears a lightbox with more images to view. So no linking to a page- or a post with an image gallery. Just a lightbox that pops up if you click the button and if you close it you’ll stay on the same page.

The button appears with a shortcode, and as I know you can only implement a href in it which is used to link to a certain page or post or image.

Any recommendations for plugins, methods or added css about this matter will be very helpful!

When you click on the image to enlarge, all it does now is redirect you to the image link.

NO lightbox plugins working

On my site, https://www.dishingjh.com I cannot get any lightbox plugins to work. I’ve tried Fancybox, Lightbox Plus, Lightbox Pop and Shadowbox JS. I’ve tried reverting to the TwentyTen theme as well as disabling all plugins except for one lightbox plugin at a time.

Any thoughts?
