Unwanted compression of images

I am a photographer and image quality is the most important for my portfolio website. Im uploading images to my media gallery, all images are saved to webp format and have around 900kb-1.8mb. After upload to media library dimensions stay 2560 by 1810 pixels but the file size is reduced to 140kb! The quality is very poor. I’m on the WordPress 6.7.1 and using elementor free to design my website. I get rid of image optimiser plug in already, with this images were reduced to 80kb.

Actually, the main problem is that the images that are compressed with WP Optimize and not showing their file name and sizes are also not displaying on the front end in Elementor image gallery. See how images not showing file size and name after using WP Optimize automatic compression:

And, after turning off the automatic image compression in WP optimze, all the future images are properly showing file names and sizes, but not the older ones. Even I tried restoring and uncompressing them. Nothing worked.

May I know the reason behind this? And how can I fix these images now?

After the easy installation, the plugin compresses the images according to the compression level I decide on. You can always go back.
What’s nice is that from now on every image that goes into the storage will receive the compression settings that I defined. There is no longer any need to bother with compressing the images before uploading them to the website.

Bad image quality

Hi,
I am currently using your free version of the plugin, which works pretty good.

Unfortunately, we are facing issues with the quality of the background image of the VR-Stand.
We tried multiple things:
– Different formats (WEBP, JPG)
– Different qualities > up to 2560 x 1515 px (but the plugin seems to resize the image)

Do we have to get the paid version to enhance the background quality, or is there something else that we could do?

Any help is welcome.

Site accelerator: huge images are still loaded

We activated site accelerator to reduce file size of images.

But when I look in the network tab of Chrome’s dev tools (with cache deactivated) I still see a lot of images being delivered without any file size reduction.

E.g. the image https://apollo-news.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Screenshot-2024-02-07-at-13.11.05.png is loaded with it’s full size of 5.3 MB.

Why are still images delivered to the Browser in full size and is there anything we can do about it?

Additional Info: most content of our site is loaded via ajax by another plugin. It seems that images which are inside the ajax content are not being delivered through the CDN. Can we fix this somehow?

Uncompress Image While Watermark Generated

We are using this Watermark plugin for our Online shopping eCommerce website, it was amazing to prevent our product images from others to use. One thing we have noticed that after adding the watermark to the products its getting compressed to low quality images, but we need the original image size after watermark added.

Hello members,
The image quality of every upload I’ve made to my WordPress website has recently reduced, and I assume that WordPress is compressing them automatically. Since I would rather be in charge of the image quality, I would like to disable or turn off this automated image compression option. I’ve done some web research and tried a few different code pieces, but nothing seems to be working. The problem was not fixed even by the SMNTCS plugin, which is designed to manage this. Can someone offer advice on how to successfully turn off WordPress’s automatic picture compression? We would be very grateful for your assistance

Siteground Optimizer – Media, get stuck on converting images to WebP

I’m using the Siteground Optimizer media. And If use Image Compression stucks after a few images I left it all night and didn’t advance. Now I’m trying to use webP image converted and the same situation. After a few images converted It get stuck, time pass and the converting image number is still the same.
