I go to run a test on Pingdom and my speed was dramatically faster, only problem is now the site isn’t rendering properly, the home pages images won’t show up, formatting is off, short codes aren’t loading and site is just janky.
So I go and restore the site from a backup from last night, but the problem persists. I am fairly novice with code but can understand a lot of the back end but am just confused on what went wrong? Was it switching to cloud flare? or Autoptimize? not sure quiet where to start and don’t want to mess it up further.
Any help would be so appreciated! I also have a web archive of the home page before it was broken if that would help?
]]>UNFORTUNATELY, it appears to be stripping the ICC profiles, so our images can look out of whack on various screens (especially wide gamut monitors). As this is our design portfolio, color is of utmost importance.
– Is there any way to tweak the settings to NOT strip metadata (or at minimum, not ICC profiles)??
We do see some code in ‘class.respimg.php’ with a comment stating “Strip all profiles except color profiles”, but not sure what that is for or why it ‘may’ not be working.
THANKS! If we could get this one thing working, it would be a MUCH better option than the default WP optimization.

]]>Any images that are optimized for size are stripped of their ICC profile. Since this is probably one of the primary reasons people (photographers etc…) are using the plugin I would think the ICC profile should *always* be preserved, if present.
If nothing else, maybe it could be an optional choice to remove it or not. I wouldn’t mind optimizing my medium sized and thumbnail sized images for file size, but not at the expense of giving up the ICC profile.

]]>Firstly, thank you for making this plugin, it is fantastic. I was very excited to find it soon after realising the default WP engine was stripping icc profiles from my images.
I am using the WP Retina 2x plugin. For some reason the retina images it generates seem to be using the default WP image engine because they are stripped of ICC profiles. Is there some script that can be added to the WP Retina 2x plugin to direct it at the ImageMagick Engine? Or maybe a script to add to the ImageMagick engine so that it truly is the default engine for my installation of wordpress?
I have contacted Joey; the maker of WP Retina 2x and he has instructed me to contact you because the plugin uses the get_image tag which is standard across wordpress.
Could you please help me out?
