Is there a way for a user to improve/resolve this?

]]>Not sure if I understand right, but when I look at Pingdom, it seems like Autoptimize is creating http requests, 4 JS and 4 CSS in my case.
No, I know nbr or requests do not have to slow down loadtime much, but still affects speed scoring some.
Is this normal? and what is the reason to do 8 requests? I want to learn more
A sidenote. When used with AssetCleanUp plugin, it is not always working correctly when AO is activated. I see in the html that my JS are not deferred, and then I try deactivate bot ACU and AO, and sometimes I can see JS deferred again, and then it seems to work.
Thanks!

The key item is the /blank component of the URL. We have no idea what’s generating it. Perhaps your plugin?
We are also noticing a large, unusual amount of “host lockouts”. Click here for details.
Any help you can provide to determine the root cause of this potential issue is appreciated.
Thank you!
]]>The site originally had some templates that were built in PHP and in order to build the new site I used Elementor, cutting bits from the PHP and inserting them into the page using a PHP shortcode inserter. Most of the pages, still refer to the parts of the original templates.
I know that is a bit of a hack, but I don’t know how to write PHP code and Elementor seemed like the easiest way to present the design that I was asked to build.
I am wondering if that might be the reason why the site is so slow?
I have optimised images and installed Auto-optimize. I have also added Expires Headers to .htaccess, although this doesn’t seem to be reflected, I think it might be Google expires headers that are the problem there.
Could anyone make any suggestions about how I can reduce page loading speed, especially for the home page? It loads lightning fast on a second view, but the first view is really lagging.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Sarah
My site keeps requesting images to Short Pixel CDN after turning off the image compression and CDN server from Short Pixel.
Can you help me fully deactivate it?
Many thanks,
Ed
]]>This seems highly inefficient, they are the same image, why not just download the larger one and then re-scale it using css for the two thumbnails? I cant get around this, my live site has thousands of images and this translates to many thousand of unneeded thumbnails created and a lot of http requests and bandwidth, am i missing something here, is this really necessary? Thanks for the help
