Episode Images in HTML5 Player Missing

How do we get the episode cover art to display in the HTML5 player like it used to? Since version 2.8.0+ an audio icon displays where the cover art should be.

In addition to setting featured images, I tried setting Podcast Episode Details > Episode Image, but nothing makes the player show cover art unless I downgrade back to version 2.7.3 or earlier.

All the episode images are square and 1500px minimum and they all display properly in Spotify, Apple, etc but just not in the player.

I run a podcast but my website is used as a loss leader for people to find me rather than just relying on streaming platforms.

Additionally, there is more content available for streaming or download on my website than the streaming apps. Because of its ease of use – many subscribers use it as their default origin for engaging with my brand.

My past experience with AMP is that it didn’t support HTML5 players and it was a nightmare to get rid of and take out of Google search results.

My site is tight and performs extremely well on mobile already and before I give AMP another go – I just want to ensure that the HTML5 players are going to show up and be functional just as they are currently.

This is imperative that I do not lose any function or experience any menu degradation. If so – then please be honest with me and I won’t install it. Thanks!

Player progress bar colour color displaying incorrectly

Finally making the switch to the HTML player and the Player progress bar colour is not displaying as the color I’ve indicated in settings.

Can you give me the CSS selector for it and I’ll just add a correction in the style sheet manually? The other two colors are fine.

HTML5 Player Not Displaying

Not Sure if I am doing something wrong, but I can’t seem to see the HTML5 Player.
In the Settings, I have “Media Player Style” set to “HTML5 Player with Album Art”.
And then on a page, I use the “PODCAST_EPISODE” to display a specific podcast episode.
But it displays using the standard podcast player, not the HTML Player with the color options that I defined for it.
I know that the “Podcaast_Playlist” shortcode doesn’t work with the HTML5 player, but shouldn’t the “Podcast_Episode” work with the HTML5 player?
Is there something I am missing?

AJAX pagination causing HTML5 player to not display

Good morning, I’m using the SSP plugin on a website I’m building. I have a page that displays all podcast episodes but I have the limit for shown posts/episodes to 8. The pagination is AJAX based so when you reach the limit of 8 theres a load more button which will display the next 8 posts/episodes. The only problem is, when the page loads the next 8 the HTML5 player wave bar disappears on all the new posts, and I’ve noticed on the previously loaded posts/episodes the html5 players become unresponsive.

Any thoughts on this?

The site I’m currently having this issue on is a dev site so it’s locked down with a password, if you would like to view the problem I’d have to send you the url and password.

Widget showing HTML5 only. Standard compact missing parts.

Hmmmm, since the update seems that things have gone wonky with our install. The front page of the site has a widget that is only showing HTML5 player and looks horribly formatted but using the shortcode did not seem to produce anything.
The meta data is not back on my Standard Compact output and the way it appears people are emailing to let us know that it’s broken… even though it’s not exactly broken, it just looks like it is.
Is there a place I can get the last version to use until these bits are all cleared up? I normally save copies of plugins before updating to new versions but you guys have been rock solid for so long that it never occurred to me that there would be any issues.

I’m currently building an app using using reactor by apppresser which uses wp api to pull in website content. Reactor also provides custom / html page option.

I need html5 video player that will play lvs m3U8 url. I have the live video stream setup on the website using jwplayer 6 but i want to embed different video player right into creator custom page option.

I have everything else completed with the app and I’d like to proceed with building with phonegap but I need to get the live video player installed.

h.264 mp4 video not displaying on smartphone

I’ve installed WordPress Video Gallery, uploaded (3) h.264 mp4 videos and 1 mp3 audio file into the gallery. They all play correctly on a PC, but not on an android smartphone.

The phone I’m using is a Samsung Galaxy S5 and I’ve tried to play the files using Firefox browser and Chrome browser for android. Neither one will work.

They both show an error window that says:

“Player does not support this video.”

How can you make the plugin use an html5 player for smartphones and mobile devices? What is the answer here?
