I’ve been using nextgen galleries for years. My website uses the wordpress Twenty Seventeen theme. For my galleries, when you open a thumbnail on the gallery page it opens a lightbox which shows the image with a description at the bottom. On my gallery management pages I have these description in the ALT & TITLE TEXT / DESCRIPTION field formatted in html. Up until now the descriptions have been formatted properly. But now the formatting is gone. There is no formatting of the text. For instance on the link to the gallery page I provide in this post, the first image on the gallery page, the top left thumbnail, the html formatting should look like the following but it doesn’t have this formatting. This is true of every gallery image now. Please, any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. As I understand it, WordPress allows ‘safe’ HTML formatting in image captions. I want to make some words in each caption bold, but if I add … or … I see the actual HTML in the caption on the front end. Is it possible to make some words in the caption text bold with this plugin?

HTML formatting works with Welcome Email but not Password Reset email

I’ve just discovered that Swift SMTP generates well-formatted HTML email for the Welcome Email (for Users) and New User Notification Email (for Admins) but NOT the Reset Password Email.

Is this a bug in the plugin or is there another setting somewhere else that I need to enable?

Hello, is there a way to have the post excerpt displayed by the Ultimate Posts widget get cut off to where the has been inserted into the post? Alternately… or actually better… would be if I could set the *content* to display but have this cut off where has been inserted. The reason this second option might work better in my case is because I would like to retain the HTML formatting (specifically the line breaks) and choosing the excerpt option doesn’t appear to allow this. Any tips or options here? Thank you!

I have paragraphs, bold words and so in a text at admin (Classic editor) but there are no HTML formats on frontend. What do I have wrong?
Regardless of the checkbox “Show html content” is ON or OFF at the the View.

Lost all HTML formatting in tag descriptions

Hi, unfortunately I’m still here.
Last night I realized with so much dismay that the plugin has removed all the “target = _blank” from all the links in the tag descriptions, or worse, in some cases it has completely removed the links and all the HTML formatting (italics, bolds, etc.) altogether. A disaster, given the large amount of links and formatting in each description, since them are rich in foreign terminology and the entire body of the tag descriptions acts as a kind of linked glossary: a complex job done by hand over years, tag by tag.

I don’t think the plugin itself is the culprit, but the different functions / settings adopted to solve the issues described in this and this threads.
As for the difference that some descriptions have lost all HTML formatting and others just the “target = _link” from the links, my thoughts is that perhaps it depends on when I assigned that tag to a group, since I did it at different times while I was testing various functions.
The damage is for everything that was already present: if I make a new description now or fix one of those that have lost the HTML it seems that everything is maintained, but I have not yet worked enough or updated the site in other ways to know for sure, I have only done some test last night after the bitter discovery.

Now, I imagine that unfortunately there is no cure to automatically recover all the formatting other than to arm myself with time and patience and redo everything by hand bit by bit, so what I ask is: do you think the situation is currently stable, i.e. the one I adopted in last thread (this), in the sense that I can begin the work sure that what I insert from now on will remain – also considerating what could happen when (if) you will replace the filter working on the core, and I will have to put “remove” in the “HTML in tag description” setting?

Text formatting strange

Hi there

This issue pertains mostly to the mobile version of the site, but it is also very strange on the html side of the pages.
In the html editor of the page, where there would usually just be some basic formatting code, there is a whole boatload of code for every new line of text. There is also an issue with line breaks showing up in strange places on the mobile version, but not showing up in any formatting.
the site only has one home page with three pages behind that – but those three pages (in English and German) displays differently. Text will flow without line breaks and outside the container meaning that it is not wrapped up to display on the screen. How can I fix this?

Paragraph breaks disappear in profile

Hi there,

This plugin has been SO useful, thank you so much! Just one thing – when users write multiple paragraphs in the Rich Text fields, the paragraph breaks disappear in profile view (using shortcodes).

I’m guessing this is because WordPress doesn’t really use paragraph tags – lists etc all work fine, it’s just paragraphs. Is there anything we can do to get the paragraph breaks copying through? Something in the shortcode? Happy to use custom code if that helps.

I would like to format the text “Method title” perhaps with but your system does not take HTML into account.

Example:
I have this sentence: 2 | 18.20 | Chronopost 13 – Receive your package the next day before 13h for any order placed before 12h |

I would like to format this as: Chronopost 13 Receive your package the next day before 1:00 pm for any order placed before 12:00pm |
But it breaks the display
Do you have a method to add HTML to this part?
