Is this directive likely to be the issue. If so, what file should I modify and where in that file should the directive go.
On another topic, anyone with the URL to a file is able to download (DOCX,XLSX) or display (PDF) the file regardless of being logged in. How do I fix this?
Many thanks

]]>I have a two part question:
(1) Given that I’m now live on the web, can someone in the know confirm that I could now safely delete my *local MySQL database? And all delete all my local files (I believe the path is c:\xampp\htdocs)? And for that matter, uninstall XAMPP entirely? I would assume the answer is yes, but I’m a newbie so don’t want to make potentially dangerous assumptions.
(2) I may develop another site, and I may start by doing it locally again. I was thinking of doing what I asked in (1) above, and starting over with a clean XAMPP & local WordPress install. I have no idea if this is best practice or if there is a better recommended way. Would really appreciate some guidance here.
Thank you
Fatal error: Call to undefined function load_textdomain() in /homepages/46/d74474883/htdocs/wildireland/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 16
Although WordPress is recommending to run on PHP and MySQL ver 5.6 or higher 5.6, I’m trying to install on PHP and MySQL ver 5.5. I’ve looked at the database settings on the server and can upgrade PHP to ver 7, but not MySQL, so I left them as is. I’m guessing though that there isn’t a great deal of difference between ver 5.5 and 5.6.
Can anyone pinpoint the likely problem?
Thanks.
]]>Forgive me if this is a simple fix, as I do not yet have access to my company’s WP files directly, which may be the problem (we did use a 3rd party to design our WP template back in 2010 (if that matters).
However I was able to find the pages in question and the error codes do not exist in the page/post text at all. Any guidance is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
First errors (which appear below a couple of posts):

Second errors (which appear on a sidebar but have seemingly no connection to any widgets):

]]>Quick question – I am pulling content to a child theme using my own DB, separate from the WP DB.
Is it safe to place my custom db_connect.php file in htdocs? ie. Is this folder readable via the Web?
Thanks in advance!
