In Google search console it keeps showing the mesage “Your site has no hreflang tags”. I see Polylang included the tags in all pages.
I readed other posts regarding this isue and they had <div> in the head section. I didn’t saw any so it seems to be different issue.
My website is www.smilesontheway.com. Can you check what’s the problem?

I have got problem with hreflang tags created automatically by Polylang plugin. Google Search Console does not see them at all. In the tab “International Targeting” there is a message: Your site has no hreflang tags.

I am not able to figure out how to solve this strange issue, hopefully someone from the Polylang team has a solution for me. Thanks in advance.

doublechecked it with different validators and everything is supposed to be ok
– it seems like my Divi theme is using jquery.fitvids.js, but I don’t really know if any “div” issues can be found in the head part of the page?

I checked my website in validator and found an error: Element link is missing required attribute property. (next to hreflang tags)
Do you know how to fix it? Any ideas? I would be very grateful for any help.

]]>First at all, my site is multilingual, thanks for Polylang, and located in Hong Kong. I wish to build the site to be triple-lingual, zh-Hant, zh-Hans, and en_Us. I have built an English one, and zh-Hant. When I build with the Polylang, it asked for language code and I filled with “hk”.
The problem is now the google told me there is an unknown hreflang code with “hk”. I figured out this is a problem caused by the language code I filled. I could just amend it as “zh” but it will be another problem when building with “zh-Hans”. Since the language code only accept 2-letters according to ISO 639-1, I wonder how we could build a second zh one. They are both zh coded.
Google accepts the language code with addition location (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2) for hreflang. Can we hack the language code with the location code?
