The title on my homepage (recent posts page) is displaying my tagline not title

Not sure what happened. As this changed overnight without me changing anything. My homepage is a non static page that is set to display my recent blog posts. The title settings work fine when opening individual post or any other page on my website. However on my home page it is now just displaying the site tag line. I previously had it formatted to have title and small tag line below it. Now sure why tag line is now H1 heading? any suggestions?

Recently moved my Dad’s website onto wordpress and am impressed with general ease of use. Have gone for ignite theme and have got it looking how we want it with only a little bit of additional css.
However, I am struggling with the css needed to remove the title from the homepage (and the homepage only). Currently there is excess white space between the header menu and the image I have used instead of a title.
I think I need
?????.page-title {
display:none;
}
But just not sure what should go instead of the ???.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

I am having issues with removing the homepage title on my site. It currently shows “Home”. I’m using the Less theme here. I tried using this method here, but it didn’t work.

Vertical bar in browser tab

I want fix to this problem:
In my wordpress site, there is a Vertical bar ‘ | ‘ that appears in the browser tab beside the name of the page (this issue exists in all my website pages).

For an example: if the page name called; Blog, So it will appear in the browser tab as following: ‘ Blog | ‘

So how to fix that problem?

Another issue: I have my own homepage and its name is not appeared in the browser.

For an example: the homepage is named as Home, So in the browser tab, the name is not written, I don’t know why! + the first issue, so it what is written in the browser tab beside the favicon is just the vertical bar
So how to fix that problem?

Unable to Create a Custom Homepage Title

Hi,

I am unable to create a custom homepage SEO title (it is not a static page, just the default WordPress homepage).

I enter a custom title by typing text directly into the appropriate title field, hit save, and once the Yoast plugin page refreshes, it shows the correct custom title in the title field.

Then I go to refresh my website homepage and it displays my website name followed by a separator instead. I have tried to do this in both Firefox and Chrome to no avail.

Interestingly, the custom meta description that I enter for the homepage works.

Hi, I have an issue with my website (https://goo.gl/Z1BewG) where Yoast SEO is installed. If I look in Google for my website, I see just my domain name in the metas instead of having the proper page title. I have the following variables in my default Page settings: %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%, but I have edited the frontpage metas from the page itself.

The page title I see on Google (just the site name): https://goo.gl/SXu6ht

I have read your articles about Google ignoring the title, but also Majestic SEO crawlers don’t see my page title: https://ibb.co/jJ5dip

Any ideas?

Homepage title customize for other pages

Hi,
I think All in one SEO is great! However, I am having a hard time figuring out how to not include the homepage title in all of the other pages. They get way too long when included. How do you customize each page and prevent them from including whatever is on the home page in general settings?

Home Page title: Pants and Shoes

Socks Page: Striped and Colored Socks | Pants and Shoes

I do not want pants and shoes on every page.

Site title not displaying in Google per SEO Homepage Setting

We have our Home Page Settings set to display Home Tile as “Indonesia Adventure Travel Guide | Roamindonesia.com.” However, Google is picking up “Roamindonesia: Indonesia Adventure Travel Guide.”

All other pages are displaying Google as we have set them in All In One SEO, so the problem is unique to our Homepage. It looks to me like Google is picking up the site title tag. How can we fix this?

A few days ago, the homepage title of my site changed from ‘Online cosmetic store’ to the last added product which happens to be ‘The Balm Lipstick’.

Hi, how i can create a specific open graph tags for my homepage (index.php)?

For the og tag “title” i have this line on functions.php:

This works great for all post and pages, except with my homepage, in that case facebook shows the information from my last published post.

How i can fix this?
