Please I need help with my website. I cleaned up malware from my site and afterwards the homepage now displays the default temporary wordpress page. I can’t see my homepage again. Please can anyone help please?

I’m seeing it on multiple websites on different hosting companies, and when using BackWPUp version 3.6 or 3.61 (although version 3.6 refers to “line 130” instead of “line 131.”
Deleting and reinstalling BackWPUp does not solve the problem.
It doesn’t seem to be stopping the website or the plugin from working, but it’s still a little worrying. Is there a fix for this?
My site is on GoDaddy Managed WP Hosting. On mysite.com instead of the homepage showing a generic hello world! blog page comes up. When I’m logged in though, the homepage looks and works just fine.
Without being logged in I can access other pages by typing in the url directly e.g. mysite.com/overhere and it works, but clicking on the ‘homepage’ links just bring up that generic blog page.
? I have set up “Home” as “front page displays” in my settings/reading.
? My wp address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are both https://mysite.com
Any clues?
My website, bastilledaynola.com was set up with Networks solutions. It was created in a subfolder called bastilledaynola, therefore all the URLs were showing up as bastilledaynola.com/bastilledaynola. Of course, I wanted the site to appear as simply bastilledaynola.com, so I followed all wordpress instructions on changing the address using the “using a pre-existing subdirectory install” support document.
First I changed the site address in wp general settings to bastilledaynola.com. I kept the WP URL as it was set up (showing the subfolder). I then copied the index.php, put it in the root directory of the site. There was no .htaccess file created, so I did nothing with that.
Now, all of the sub-pages are working but the homepage is not working. When I type in bastilledaynola.com it automatically sends me to bastilledaynola.com/bastilledaynola and I get a “page not found” message.
Oddly, when I changed the permalinks settings to default, the homepage worked but no other pages worked. Then when I reset to the show page name permalink setting, I have the opposite problem. I have called Network Solutions about a dozen times and they are of NO help whatsoever. They say it is a wordpress settings issue. Please help!
So recently I was trying out themes for my WP and I have been using a theme from WooThemes called MyStile which worked with WooCommerce, later on when I went to activate MyStile again, I noticed my home page said “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” I tried deleting ALL the themes, and I deleted some plugins and deactivated them all and NOTHING happened.
I am pretty good with the hosting files so if you know how to fix this let me know please!
Also, if it comes to deleting my hole wordpress, is there a way to save my media files?

; “Testing”; etc. No matter what I put, once I reload the page and look at my page source the title tags remain empty AND the browser tab still shows: https://spiewgels-labyrinth.com/blog/
This seems like such a weird problem to have and I can’t see how the update did this nor why I can’t “force” a title tag onto my home page. Any gurus out there that can offer some hints. This is a very strange problem, indeed.
I checked with the previous version that I had and the header.php file is exactly the same and I can’t figure out why the title doesn’t show. However, each of my post pages show their titles accordingly…I’m just having a problem with the main page. I even tried using other function calls such as php bloginfo but it just seems that it’s not working. This is what my header file says:
<?php wp_title(''); if (function_exists('is_tag') and is_tag()) { ?>Tag Archive for <?php echo $tag; } if (is_archive()) { ?> archive<?php } elseif (is_search()) { ?> Search for <?php echo wp_specialchars($s,1); } if ( !(is_404()) && (is_search()) or (is_single()) or (is_page()) or (function_exists('is_tag') and is_tag()) or (is_archive()) ) { ?> | <?php } ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?>

I’m using the 300 theme. Like I said, all the other pages show the title fine, just not my home page. Any help I can get will be appreciated.
