]]>I have created a site using Neve theme, all the pages are published, except the page assigned to ‘Home’ under Settings>Your homepage displays does not show – instead the published site shows an empty page form Hestia theme.
I have tried the following;
I am at a bit of a loss on what else to try before trying to rebuild the whole site (which I would rather not do as it is finished). Would appreciate any help!
Thanks so much
]]>I’ve been helping to set up a blog for a project by a not-for-profit genealogy organisation.
The Home page has a sticky post at the top then will display all the blog posts under it. When you go to the site, all looks well.
However, if you navigate away from the Home page to another using the Menu, then click back on Home, it no longer displays any of the posts, only statistics of views.
I have no idea what is causing this or how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks
Melody

]]>I am having issues with my home page. I am able to make changes on the back end but when I go to the site, I am redirected to a 404 page – file not found.
I made sure that I have the latest updates for WP and any plugins and my theme.
Please advise and thank you!
]]>But I have noticed periodically during the last few years that the home page does not display correctly. The side columns disappear, the ‘magazine’ layout disappears — it displays as copy and images in the center of the page instead of the way it should.
After a few days, it seems to fix itself. In the meantime, my site looks terrible and all my sidebar links and menus are gone.
Here is how the site displayed (before I change the header) when it is displaying correctly: https://bit.ly/STGSBest
Here is how it is displaying now — which, as you can see, it all wrong!: https://bit.ly/STGSIncorrect
What can I do to fix this?

]]>A plugin seems to be the cause of the redirect issue. We found in our
error logs referenced to HEAD requests from browser agents, then immediately followed by a call for “index.html”. After searching through subdirectories at the base web level, we found plugin “Custom Permalinks” had an included index.html file, and was downloaded or updated at the same time as other WordPress files.
After disabling the “Custom Permalinks” plugin, the home page loads, but it fouls up the rests of the site. Reactivating it breaks the home page.
