I have hidden groups assigned to group types, and these hidden groups are being included in the counts on the group type tabs. Is it possible to set it so the counts don’t include the hidden groups?
Thanks,
Jemima
]]>I need to have “hidden topics” functionality…not merely hidden forums. I want to assign users to a topic, and have that topic populate inside one forum. All users will be able to access the one forum, but when they get there they will not see titles of other topics that they have not been granted specific permission to, by username. As far as they know, no other topic exists that they have not been given explicit, specific permission to view. Not its title, not its existence….nothing. Completely invisible to them if they have not been granted permission to view and access it.
Is that possible with this plugin?
Thanks again for all your hard work!!
]]>I only want one topic per forum. Just one.
And that single-topic forum? It will be attached to a hidden group.
So I’m looking for…a way to bypass the screen that lists “topics” in a forum; there will only be ONE topic PER forum, so having that screen there is unnecessary and confusing to my forum participants. And creates “click fatigue.” They should be able to get to the group front page, click “Forum”…then be brought to the discussion on the only topic that that forum will ever be tied to.
And each group’s topic will be different. But ONLY one topic per forum, per hidden group.
Note: I’ll eventually be creating hundreds of individual hidden groups….so I do not want to have to go in and hand code the direct link to the single forum topic for each of these groups, just to bypass a page, each time….
Soooo…I want the flow to be:
– [click on ‘My Groups’ which is right next to ‘All Groups’ — it’s at that page]
– [I then see a group link, in list of groups….so I click on a desired group]
– [get to that group’s front page]
– [click on ‘Forum’ option there]
– [***NOW I should see no other things to choose from — there are no other topics that will be in this forum, so I should not be brought to a page with a list of topics to choose from; instead, I am immediately brought to a discussion, which is a discussion that is covering the only topic that that group is ever going to discuss]
HOW do I achieve this….???
I was looking for a widget that was a “discussion” widget that I could use to customize the group front page, but never found one.
And the “activity stream” is littered with an RSS feed and a search bar, and it doesn’t allow for uploading pictures (WHICH IS CRITICAL)….forums allow to upload pictures. So I’d just use the Activity Stream if it was feasible, which it appears to not be. But hell — if that was easier to modify than skipping a forum ‘topic list’ page….let me know that too, please.
Thanks in advance for all your assistance; I am desperate to finally solve this, lol…!
P.S.: I’m using bbPress with BuddyPress.
]]>Like many others, I would like to automatically add subscribers to a group when filling a certain form. This is good practice as all your contacts are in a master MailChimp mailing list avoiding duplication.
Having spent a day looking for a solution, it seems that it has been a while since users are expecting this feature to be added. Any plan to tell us when it will be released?
This may help me decide whether or not I should invest in your plugin or find another solution elsewhere.
I have spent all day yesterday looking for a solution (codes) to enable us to hide groups on our form and automatically get subscribers added to the relevant group in our master mailing list.
We need to keep contact form 7 as it is connected to our CRM. Has anyone found a solution using the MailChimp for WordPress tags?
]]>1. allows unlimited unique forms (form A, form B, form C, etc.) on the same website.
2. forms can be embedded into the page (not a popup).
3. allows ‘hidden groups’ on each form, so the plugin AUTOMATICALLY places users signing up on a form into one or more groups (that i select on the backend based on the form being created) so users don’t have to select from a drop down or something (they are put into one or more groups unknowingly simply because they are using form M, for example).
3a. and, continuing from 3, allows USER ELLEN to fill out form M (which puts ELLEN into group 1, group 2 and group 3), and ELLEN can also fill out form B (which puts ELLEN into group 12).
4. is there a website where i can see your pre-designed embedded and other forms that require no code?
can i do these things with your free and paid plugin -which ones? does it require any extra coding (if so, please indicate which of the 4 above) or is it built into your admin panel where a non techie can do all of this?
thank you!!!!

]]>I’m using your plugin since a few years and I’m very happy with it!
Since the last version I have realized a problem that i would like to share with you and I’m also hoping for a solution coming with next version..
The problem is, that all groups that are marked as hidden are not shown in the group hierarchy > Parent group drop down menu. Neither in the Hierarchy step when I’m creating a new group nor in the “Manage” > “Group hierarchy” Tab of each existing group.
Is this on purpose? And / Or is there a possibility to change this, so that at least the core administrators of WordPress can also choose the hidden groups or, even better, all members of the hidden group also may be able to see / choose this as the parent group?!
I hope you understand my description and I’m looking forward for any solution..
Thanks a lot for answers or hints,

]]>When I first set up the signup form as a widget on my website, some time ago now, I was able to make sure that new subscribers would automatically be added to a group from my Mailchimp list (“Type of contact: Website Signup”); however, this radio button didn’t appear on the signup form itself in the widget, because subscribers didn’t need to know they were being added to that specific group.
However, since updating to the latest version, this field, which used to be hidden, is now visible under the signup e-mail address field, which is annoying. I just can’t remember how I managed to hide it before. Can you help me with this?
