I’m trying to migrate a website from Weebly to WordPress on behalf of a nonprofit; the site is hosted on iPage. I’m using the directions that I found here:

I’ve been able to download the Weebly site as an XML file without any problems. The problems all seem to be on the WordPress backend. Under Tools > Import, I’ve attempted to install the WordPress Installer, but I do not seem to be able to do so. I keep getting an error that reads:

Installation failed: Could not create directory. /hermes/bosnacweb05/bosnacweb05bg/b2111/ipg.careclinicrwcom/wp_site_1704571800/wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-importer.0.8.1

In addition, the WordPress I’m doing this on is 6.1, but any time I attempt to update to 6.4, the update fails and I receive the same message I’ve mentioned above. I’ve also attempted to install Elementor and received the same error message.

This is my first time trying to migrate a site. Am I glossing over something? Is this a known issue? Is there something with iPage that’s preventing me from doing this? Is there some kind of process still running on WordPress in the background that needs to finish and I just have to let it sit for a bit?

Since a few weeks I have two bugs in the theme I am using:
– the logo in the top left corner doesn’t shrink when you scroll down
– the footer has disappeared

I have this issue on all pages since I updated WordPress. I just updated it again to version 6.0.1. in the hope that that would help but it did not.

The theme I am using is Hermes. But according to the settings of the theme everything is set right.

Can you help me?

I am unable to access the /wp-admin for the site.

Any advice on how to recover the site?

files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /hermes/bosnaweb24a/b587/ipg etc etc

I think this means that wp super cache can’t find the destination for cache files. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and been all over the settings with no result.

Any clues?

I’m new here in WordPress Forum. Pardon me if I post this on a wrong Topic Thread. I tried to search this but I found nothing similar.

Can anyone show me any existing topic about this or anyone can help figure out this problem?

I have a problem with my WordPress site with Woocommerce installation. Sometimes it redirects to:

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/hermes/prefetch

But nothing is happening, just a loader and nothing appears on page.

There is no specific time when this redirection occurs, it just suddenly appears that when you click specially the PLUGINS button, it will redirect to that page. And it will automatically stop until a couple of minutes.

I have a woocommerce plugin and some other free woocommerce add on plugins but I haven’t set the PayPal payment yet.

Where do I find that file to change its permissions? I do not see that image in my images folder on my website nor do I see anything to do with lsfadmin.

I am using a child theme for Montem theme and the latest WordPress.

My problem is this:

I recently migrated my websites I had on iPage’s servers running debian to Fasthosts, who run CentOS servers. I don’t think that will be the problem but you never know.

When I switched, 2 of the 10 websites I moved, have a “Warning” at the top of the page.

I will note that, I am aware the ipg.cunningham is the iPage account (cunningham being my account name) but I am starting out in the world of web “designer” and really, as am self taught, should focus more on learning PHP or even, these issues. However, at the moment, I don’t have the time to learn as my client is fairly annoyed that I have this error on his brand new site.

I would be really grateful of a possible solution or suggestions for fixing this issue without reinstalling and starting from dot.
