Browser Window Size vs. Heatmap Clicks

Hey guys,

One of the things we just noticed is that once we’re in WP ADMIN > SETTINGS > AURORA HEATMAP > then hover over a page and click the box with the arrow > the window that opens is a smaller window than the normal browser window size.

If we were to base our decisions for UX, UI, and CTA changes on this smaller pop-up window we may be making the wrong decisions.

If we open that smaller browser window to a normal size, the heatmap results show an entirely different story as to where people are clicking on that page.

How do we know what size window to base our decisions on?

How Do Pages Get Added To Heatmap List

Hello, let’s say that we have a 100 page website.

We noticed there are only about 30 pages showing in the list for the heatmap.

How do other pages get added and will that happen based on when people visit those pages?

Hi,

I don’t understand how the heat map is supposed to work and I can barely see what is going on in the video, it is not very clear.
When I click on the heat map on one of my most popular posts I just see an arrow with a zero next to it.
The screen darkens but there are no coloured areas.

Show count of events at each location on Map

I’m wanting to show a count of how many times a location has had an event. I can get a listing of events at each location fine but I want to show it on a map.

Ideally, I’d like to show some kind of heat map of event locations or show bigger icons to represent the number of events at a location. Is any of this possible please?

Heat map overheating

I have heat map on a site and it has worked fine until now. Recently it registered many hits (as numbers) but nothing showed on the map as heat signatures. Today I stopped the campaign and started a new. Within one minute it showed (in numbers) 31 hits on the page. No heat signatures though, nowhere on the site. As much as I’d like to believe the site got 31 hits in one minute, it has to be a bug.

Heat map tracking me

I have turned off the tracking as advised so Heat Map shouldn’t track my movements on the page, but it seems to do that anyway. For example: when I go to check the heat map, it say 81 clicks. I open the admin panel etc and do something there and suddenly it’s 86 clicks.. And I’m pretty sure no one is there pressing those same places as I am since no one else can be doing admin stuff, which leave heat signatures on a specific place on the page (there’s nothing else on that spot on the place than the admin panel X (shut off).

I just created my first WP plugin, its a plugin that assists in using Mouse Eye Tracking server (https://www.picnet.com.au/met). This allows you to see heat maps, click maps, page navigation maps, etc of your users on your website. Its a free analytics tool which I think is very handy.

Would love some feedback on the plugin itself and if there is anything I can do to improve it, etc.
