Using a new theme and I an not get a new image or the default image to load in my header.

I am using the SImple Catch theme and tried to change my header logo. I uploaded it, but nothing changes. Tried both multi-file uploader & browser uploader. Made no difference. I also noticed that once it uploads it and displays the file name it adds a number to it. and it also shows up that way with the URL link. Is that because it of how many times I’ve tried to upload it and it keeps track of the # of files? Is that normal? It wont match the file name so would have thought it would cause a problem. Tried changing it within the URL link but that didn’t work.
Example: my file name Logo.jpg and it puts Logo8.jpg

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

trying to troubleshoot why my custom theme header is not loading:
Index.php is loading. This is my first custom theme, I’m a total newb. If I type in some text above the get_header tag in the index.php file it will show up. if I type something below the get_header tag nothing shows up. nothing from the header.php file shows up. Should the url displayed in the pingback point to the root of the custom theme or the root of the install. right now it points to neither… is that the problem? Thanks in advance

On first load, only header and background are rendering (after updating to 3.2)

After updating WordPress to 3.2 I’m having an issue where frequently only the Header and background of the site are rendering:

It usually happens on first load of the site, and hitting refresh loads the rest of the content. Tried re-installing, and it’s clearly *capable* of loading all the content, it’s just not all rendering initially.

(If you’re not seeing the error, you might try viewing the site in incognito, it shows up way more option as the files get cached once you close out.)

What might be causing this?

Only the Homepage Header loads — Homepage Template Not Working

Hi there,

I have a strange problem.

My site, www.Wraps4Rides.com using the Absencion theme will not load the homepage properly. If you click on the menu item for the homepage it loads fine (obviously theres no content on the site), but you can still see it’s loading properly there.

I was told it might be a permalinks problem, but it’s set to default.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Header not working in IE !!!

I have a mac and use safari, my site looks fine and I created my own header by customizing the zenlight theme. When I view it in safari its fine but others with smaller computer screens see the edges of the header cut off. I then changed my header from black and white to colour and the file size of the header increased from 146k to 585k and wont even load in IE and is evem slow in safari. What do i need to do to make it work. Please Please help!!
