I guess I am not familiar with this set up and can no longer find where the
tags live in the Theme editor. Can you help me please?
Also, I did notice that the font choices are in the theme.json file — would it be possible to add the Adobe font
info to that drop down list?
Apologies ahead of time for not knowing — I did several web searches but am still not finding how to locate the
tags on this set up.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
I’ve found some guides pointing to checking my theme’s functions.php and header.php files, but the code is not in them. I’ve looked around for similar files in the wordpress install folders through FTP, but can’t seem to find it.
How do I edit the head tags to remove them, or which files should I check, where I could find it?
ps. I didn’t use a plugin to add them, so I don’t seem to be able to remove them by installing a “meta/head tags editor” plugin.
*1) I found one guide asking me to look for a “header/footer metatags” section in the theme editor, but there doesn’t seem to be one anymore.
2) I found another guide asking me to look for a “editor” tab in the “Apperance” menu, but it doesn’t seem to exist anymore. (I’m guessing it has been removed in later versions of wordpress for security reasons).
I need to verify my site to Bing webmaster.
I need to add a line of code in the head section of the homepage.
The theme I am using does not have any options in the theme options section.
How do I do this?

ive asked a web designer friend of mine to have look at my sites and gove me some feed back…
he has told me that “there are no keywords. This is a wordpress site and the Yoast SEO plugin is not inserting the keywords in the head section of the site. Load it in a browser, right click and view the source. anything between the
and the
is not displayed in the browser. This is where your keywords should be“
i asked him what would the issue be and he said “you need to ask their support people. It is a fault with their plugin or a setting you have not done in WordPress“
so here i am
my sites are SITE 1 and SITE 2
if anyone can advise me on what i need to do i would be very greatful
kind regards

Although I’m familiar with XHTML znd CSS, I’m a WordPress newbie and am having a difficult time understanding my theme’s PHP files.
My two questions are:
1. How do I insert and
tags (or their equivalents) into my PHP files for my site’s favicon, Google indexing statement, keywords, etc.?
2. In which PHP file or files do I insert the instructions?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
