as Google ReCaptcha was allways a PITA to get DSGVO / GPDPR compliant and they’re soon switching to “enterprise only” accounts: i want to change the security measures on all my customers Contact Form 7s.

Set it up. Quite easy, even though i personally dislike puzzles to solve.
hCpatcha is DSGVO/GDPR compliant according to https://www.hcaptcha.com/gdpr or also https://www.datenschutzexperte.de/blog/recaptcha-datenschutz-ist-die-nutzung-dsgvo-konform .
https://CCM19.de Cookie checker found absolutely no cookies on the contact form.

But still: many posts like https://legalweb.io/dsgvo/embeddings_hcaptcha state it’s use would only be DSGVO / GDPR compliant if you ask the user if it’s ok to use hCaptcha.

So what is right now?

And do you now any Plugin that could spam-secure my customers WPCF7 forms with only a LOCAL installation? Over the years, i’ve checked so many. None were as tight as reCaptcha V3.

I’d like to report an issue / bug with hCaptcha.

1. Open the popup window
2. Type in all the data & CC
3. Press the “Buy button” and see the hCaptcha
4. a) There is no way to go back and change your mind or edit any fields
5. b) When clicked / tapped on the side / outside of the hCaptcha area – hCaptcha is being closed and underneath is the blocking popup with it’s loader still in the middle and nothing can be clicked anywhere. Page has to be reloaded. When hCaptcha is dismissed the popup loader should be gone allowing more editing / closing of the popup.

I am using free everest forms with hCaptcha. The problem is when I am logged in WordPress I am seeing the hCaptcha field, but when I am logged out and for the regular user as well hCaptcha is invisible.
The same problem is on mobile.
Please advise!

We noticed this behaviour today, don’t know when the issue started. On Nov 21st all was working fine. I did post on the GF support forum (since hCaptcha doesn’t have any updates since), though wanted to drop this here as well in case anyone knows a solution or is experiencing the same problem. False positives do get a ‘Thanks for contacting us! We will get in touch with you shortly.’ message (!), so visitors won’t be aware something went wrong.

However, every time I refresh the page, reCaptcha appears, but when I refresh again or submit the form, hCaptcha shows up, leading to a mixed situation. Sometimes, only hCaptcha appears, and sometimes reCaptcha.

I tried from different browsers and computers and got the same result.
I didn’t get it on some.

I couldn’t resolve the issue. Can you help?

using the checkout block is throwing the odd error and in dev tools in chrome is is saying

POST htpps:///api.hcaptcha.com/getcaptcha (too many requests)

My team and I are creating a demo site for a product in development. There is not much on the site, currently, as it was just spun up.

The demo site needs to have:

1. A membership sign-up form with hcaptcha, additional info such as postal US Zip code, and some selections for preferred newsletters.
2. The site must be able to send a newsletter to each member based on the selections made upon sign-up. (Assume that these preferences can be accessed/changed on a user profile behind login.
3. A newsletter function that works like MailPoet, where members who have chosen specific newsletters would receive these in an email.

Questions: Does Paid Memberships Pro offer these functions? If so, are they in the paid or free version?

Is it better to seek out an all-in-one solution that offers a member sign-up, user profile, and newsletter distribution?
