I installed this plugin and then loss control till now. After remove this plugin, it finds the way to come back automatically.

Anyone seeing research_plugin.php related attacks?

My wordpress site had two plugins added:

wordpress/wp-content/plugins/research_plugin_ecxt/research_plugin.php
wordpress/wp-content/plugins/research_plugin_PiDE/research_plugin.php

I’ve removed them and upgraded my security by changing passwords, adding the “WP Login Security and History” plugin, and enabling a login captcha.

I’m seeing a high rate of failed logins from the Russian IP address 195.206.253.146

Is anyone else seeing this?

Usually when I want to edit a plugin, I just edit the plugin. But this means that I need to edit it every time the plugin is updated. I like receiving plugin updates, because they often bring bug fixes or new functionality, but I don’t want to have to make the same edits to the same plugins over and over again. Is there a better way?

For example, in the Social Connect plugin, I want to change the words “Connect with” to “Login with”

Is the best way just to edit the plugin files, like I’ve done in the past, or something else?

To All,

I checked my www.remarpro.com today and I see a plugin in my list that I did not create. And the plugin I did create is now gone from the WordPress repository.

The plugin I created is called “sunrise sunset” and the plugin that I see in my profile page is “Best Google Adsense”.

Any ideas on how this happened and maybe why it happened? Does www.remarpro.com have a support email address I can use?

The plugin will insert also a link to their website, with keyword : web design, and being a hided link, it will harm your site in Google or yahoo.
Google will see the suspicious links, and will blame you for hidden links.

This guys are a joke, and thieves.

You supposed to agree to the hidden link to other websites, before installing the plugin, but they trust that people have no knowledge, and profit on that.
Check this code on your page, before using the plugin.
