Login hack attempts

I keep getting locked out of my own website admin functionality due to repeated hack login attempts, either by bots or individuals. As a result I get an e-mailed “BPS Login Security Alert” virtually every hour. It is VERY irritating and is frustrating the administration of my website!

How can I perhaps hide the login page screen from the public / bots, so that only I can see it, or do you have another solution?

Please assist urgently.

Login Name Blocked Attempts From All Over Using Same Name

I keep getting hit by an attempt to use the same login name ‘Keenan28X515888’ from all over the world and wondering if this is from a known vulnerability hack attempt or if perhaps this is due to something else I need to be aware of. I’m still only moderately skilled in wordpress and wordfence. Any info on how to deal with it would be appreciated.

Getting Constant Messages

Hi i am running 6 wordpress websites,wherein which wordfence is installed on all 6 websites as primary security plugin.However from 24 hours I am getting constant mails stating your website was locked after 3 times for 2 of my websites, having the same IP address bearing from Netherland, Ukraine and couple more countries,wherin I reside in India.I also extended time to 30 hours once the account is locked, but it seems I am getting mails in matter of minutes. Untill now I recieved 168 mails from wordfence regarding account locked..FYI I set a two way authentication as well using clef and override the url to complicated one but even then I getting account locked status from wordfence. What do I do?

New hack attempts

After getting almost 2000 hack attempts overnight in late August I enabled the secret url. Still had a few hack attemps coming in and enabled the pingback protection.
Not a single attempt until now – 126 over the course of the weekend.
Any help would be welcome.

Im Running an Entertainment Blog Moviesrok.com and my blog is often attempted to hack. Whenever i try to login to my Wp-admin panel even if the password and username is saved in the browser i have to login again. And when i try to login it shows the message to login after 20 minutes because of the limit login plugin. It happens over and over, what should i do to get rid of this problem. Please help.

My new clients site was hacked before I installed wordfence. I am sure there is still some malicious code but my mandate was just to make sure it was not handing out malware to visitors as it was.

At the moment every day it is having multiple login attamepts from all over the planet.

I want to know, when I delete WP, delete the DB and start the site completely fresh, with a new theme and manually readding the content.

Has the URL been added to some sort of a list and will it continue to get these hack attempts or once it is clean and new, will they stop?

How to prevent subscriptions

Sorry I couldn’t find the proper subject title to post under.
I don’t have any button or link for people to “subscribe” or attempt to become a contributor to one of my sites, yet I keep getting subscriptions and some of them are as “contributors”..the profiles look fake and always via hotmail addresses with obviously randomly generated address/usernames in the hotmail address. How do I stop this?

Questionable Registrations

I am starting to notice some strange/questionable registrations coming into my website at www.sportszonetemplates.com

For example:
User Name: 0x0f0d3
E-mail address: [email protected]

User Name: 9ji7g4x
E-mail: [email protected]

There are a couple more but this should give an idea of what’s happening.

I was wondering if anyone had a comment or suggestion about these. Could they be hack attempts or something else, and should I take some kind of precautions.

Any feedback is appreciated.

beware all in one SEO plugin

I found out the hard way if you fall prey to getting hacked , which on my site was approving comments of certain malovent hackers unknowingly. After figuring out how to clean up my site I noticed that in the “A;; in One SEO “plugin , that there was a peice of erroneous code that was in the header rewrite portion of the options for the plugin which had the effect of disabling the links to my other websites, once I removed the code and the plugin the links came back up and this happened on 3 different websites of mine. So word to the wise ,

I have been using TimesToCome Security Plugin. For the last two days within minutes apart, I have been recieving entries like the one below.
How is this happening, is it some sort of logrythem designed to try every 2 minutes? Surely one person isn’t attempting to hack this site over and over right?
