BuddyPress Group Avatar Options Not Showing up Under Admin

Hi. I am using BuddyPress 1.9.2 with bbPress. Uploading avatars for users and for groups was working fine until today. Now the Avatar option is not even showing under the Admin tab of the group, and is not offered when creating a new group.

Anyone have an idea of how to fix this, please?

Also, under Settings>BuddyPress I only have three tabs: Components, Pages, Settings, while some on the forums have mentioned having five tabs in this panel – including one called Avatar.

Lastly, it seemed like when I first set up this site, I loaded my profile avatar without using Gravitar. Why has this gone away and is there some other option people have for uploading an avatar?

I discussed this directly with JJJ in IRC chat. Their decision to not fix this until 2.5 leaves many sites with broken content for months to come. IF you run group forums, you are affected.

I am running BuddyPress & bbPress (for group forums through BP) on my website. My hosting service is WP Engine and doesn’t support the PHP mail() function. That is the main reason that I use Mandrill (not the only reason).

I am facing an issue with the bbPress group forums on my BuddyPress website. The issue is with the following checkbox that is displayed for any logged-in user when viewing any topic/thread in any forum — “Notify me of follow-up replies via email”. Even when I check this, it isn’t sent.

I believe this is because wpMandrill only replaces all of the default WordPress mail functions, but this one is only there because my use of the famous bbPress plugin. I believe that if this was added in an update, the wpMandrill plugin would be completely bbPress & BuddyPress plugin, which would help a lot of people (including me)!

Is there any way that you can help me out with this?

My sitewide forums are working. I watched this video to set them up but I can’t get the specific group forums to work.

Any ideas? I really need private group forums AND a sitewide general forum where anyone can participate. Any help would be appreciated!

[Plugin: BuddyPress] Can't Install Site Wide Forums

I’m having a weird issue here. I just want to have forums available across my entire site, which is supposed to be available through BP. However, after clicking the “Install Site Wide Forums” button in the Forums settings (and running through the activation, etc.), nothing happens.

If I install Group Forums, I get my site-wide forums – but it makes me choose a group forum to post inside of. If I uninstall Group Forums, my site-wide forums disappear, too.

I’m just testing things out on the BP default theme right now, so there aren’t (or shouldn’t be) any theme issues. I’ve tried uninstalling, deleting and reinstalling the plugins, but nothing is helping.

Advice?
