Grey Boxes on Category display

Hello, I run a site that has hundreds of posts in different catigories. As such we have one page that loads with a dynamic serch depending on which place on the site you arrived at that one page. So for example if you clicked the link for easy activites, this page would only display easy activities.

For some of the catigories it displays them correctly in a nice picture grid.

Then for others each image has a large grey box below it and looks horrible. Not sure why this is doing it for some but not others as they are all functionally loading off the same page.

Could you please advise how to fix this?

Media Library not working correctly

Hi, I have a problem with my Media Library. When I try to upload a file (78kb .jpg for example) the button uploads turns into “crunching” and then nothing happens. At this point, when pressing the upload button I open the errors console on chrome and it says:

Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.

Then, when refresh the media library, the uploaded file appears like a grey box that I can’t either select or edit. Tried to deactivate all plugins, tried to open with a default theme, tried to do it with other explorers like firefox, etc, tried incognito window in chrome and the problem is always there. Also, the image shows up in FTP uploads folder but can’t manage it in the Media Library as it does not show up, just as a grey box. Finally, if I open the media library in Grid mode, just a clear grey box appears and nothing else. I have 180 files in it aprox. and they are indeed in the FTP uploads folder.
Any help on this please? (please take in account that I’m not a professional programmer, not at all, sorry about that).

Refunded $0 and want to refund full amount

So I didn’t realize I needed to type the exact amount into the Refund box, so it refunded $0. And now the box is greyed out and I can put the correct amount in. And I’m seeing a note that the order is no longer editable. Is there a way for me to refund (this is thru Stripe).

Grey box instead of thumbs-up icon

Just upgraded to version 3.6.1 of uLike and now have a non-responsive grey box instead of a responsive thumbs-up icon.

When I say non-responsive, what I mean is that nothing happens when the grey box is clicked. I was expecting at least the like to be incremented, but there’s no image and the like doesn’t happen either. Not sure what’s going on, but it’s going to cause some memberships squawking!

Any helpful assistance/advice appreciated.

Main Product Image is just a grey box

I think I finally got the Geo -targeting working, so now I would love to get the main image appearing – I just get a grey box – I’ve tried on my Mac Book, on my Mac desktop, and at my sisters on her Windows P.C. I’ve checked that I have the latest version of adobe, and I still get this big grey box: Main product box

The other smaller product images come out below it just fine, but the main one is just huge with two smaller linked boxes inside it.

I would be very grateful if anyone might know what could be causing this! Did anyone else have this issue, and how did they resolve it? Could it be that the size is too big!? And if so, how do I get it smaller if it is automatically put there as that size! – Maybe it’s something else causing it though, damn this is stressful

google maps just shows gray box

I can’t get the google maps part to work. I’ve added a unique api key, and tied using the themes and plugin disabling as per your support article but it made no difference. Can you please look at my test site and see what I’ve done wrong?

Hi all,

My first post on the site!

I know that many before me have asked the grey box question, but I cannot seem to find a solution that works for me.

Please see my website here

As you can see the home page is a static page and the only page with the grey box – around the text.

I found the border in Chrome (inspect element), but am unable to locate the border / background in php. It is .panel-widget-style, which I can see in Custom CSS but unable to edit!

Any help would be much appreciated as this has been driving me mad on and off for a number of weeks now

This grey color is coming in side bar when there is no item in the list i.e. i put navigation of pages and when there is no child or sibling of any page this empty grey box is coming which is not looking good, solution?

Resizing slider

How can I customise the slider to the height and width I need? When the theme width is 1100px then the photos are just too big for the rest of the site, but when I use CSS for the sup-slider then I get a grey box around where the rest of the box used to be. Can you please let me know if there’s a possible code I can slip in the custom CSS box or if I need to have a look into the style sheet?
