I have installed the plugin from the WordPress plugin library and also tried installing using the zip file. I could not found the settings for the plugin

Hey, at the link on the page there are some buttons that all link to different pages with a google photo album on each of them. some of them don’t load. but actually they are all the same. sometimes one still loads when you refresh. what could it be? there are no lazy load plugins or anything like that.

Jetpack google photos says Sorry, but nothing matched your search criteria when selecting albums. Photos load OK but specific month year loads different dates. I have disconnected and reconnected. It’s not easy to find images when using a library with 20k images.

Using Jetpack without WordPress.com account

I’m struggling to get started with Jetpack on my self-hosted wordpress site. I’ve installed the Jetpack plugin and it looks like it’s correctly installed.

My goal is to use Jetpack to allow me to pull images into WP posts from my Google Photos account. But when I go to compose a post, and choose images, there is no reference to GP anywhere. Looking more closely at the Jetpack setup, it seems like it wants me to create a WP.com account. Since I’m self-hosted, I’ve avoided having a WP.com account, but it appears that some functionality in Jetpack is dependent on having a WP.com account.

What I can’t figure out is, do I need the WP.com account to enable GP image integration? I see a long list of features that are, and are not, dependent on the WP.com account but GP image integration is not listed for either.

My goal, initially, is to be able to use a desktop browser (chrome) to create a WP post, and then pull in images from my GP account.

Is a way to load more from google photo (media count 268)?

Display groups by year and month may be a solution to load more from one album. Is a way to Update in API

Album selection in Google Photos fails when LOAD MORE is needed.

I am using Photonic with Google Photos which connected properly. Album selection shows an initial list, and if I select 1, 3, or many albums they display properly. However, if the album desired is not in the initially loaded list, then the LOAD MORE button is used to shows additional albums. Any albums selected will not display.

Similar behavior observed if first LOAD MORE is used multiple times to load them all, and then the search is used to search for a subset of albums, any album that was not displayed in the initial list cannot be displayed.

All software is on the latest revision as of the date of this post.

Unable to Authenticate Google Photos

I’ve followed directions to set up credentials. When I go to AUthenticate Google Photos, I get this message:

Access blocked: This app’s request is invalid

You can’t sign in because this app sent an invalid request. You can try again later, or contact the developer about this issue.

Full size images not loading – 400 bad request

I am using PHP 8.2 and Google authentication works, thumbnails and galleries are loaded fine but when trying to open full size image I get error on console:

GET https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/lr/AJXXXXX [HTTP/3 400 Bad Request 10ms]

I have tried to deauthorize and recreate credentials but nothing.

Any idea why request fails?

New Feature: Add Create Google Album

First of all, thank you very much for putting together Photonic. It is exactly the plugin I was looking for to connect up with my Google Photos account. I am actually now going to use this plugin on my son’s Boy Scout Troop’s website to show photos from all of their campouts.

I wrote a custom plugin that handles signing up scouts for various troop related campout and events. The one thing I could use though, is a way to automatically create a shared Google Photo album for the event. This way the event attendees could upload their photos to the shared Google Photo album and then they would automatically appear on the troop’s website via your Photonic plugin.

Would it be possible for you to add a function that I could call from my plugin, that would automatically create a new shareable photo album in Google Photos?
