Can you or anyone with experiences with XML sitemap plugin help me with it please? Maybe someone already submitted a similar problem.
I was happy with XML sitemap and submitted to google with no problem. However, I made some mistakes by inputting Chinese characters in the title and it really messed with my permalinks so I changed them into all english_GB as I am located in the UK. Then I resubmit my sitemap and two things happened.
1. I added two new pages recently and they were not included.
2. There are two tag errors in each of my URL when I check my Google Webmaster Tool – sitemaps section. The <changefreq> and <priority> tages only have closing tag, without starting tags.
I believe it was the permalink issue or if it is not, I did installed many plugins, maybe there are some conflicts between the plugins? The sitemap plugin was working absolutely great for me before.
Can anyone help me to fix them please?
Thank you advance.

]]>Google says there is an issue with my robots.txt and the error link points directly to my front page. This is not a cached version of the robots.txt file… or at least Google says it crawled this morning. I generated my sitemap with the Google sitemap plugin by Best Web Soft plugin. It looks accurate upon review.
Reviewed all plugins and removed one plugin that hides the title on my front page… no help.
Checked my front page for any meta tags that might be blocking progress – nothing.
The robots.txt now shows the following.
User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Sitemap: https://mysite.com/sitemap.xml
I’d like to button up the wp-admin and plugins directories but for now all is open.
Checked the site at https://tools.seobook.com/robots-txt/analyzer/
and it says all pages are open.
I checked my database and made sure the robots entry data contained the correct amount of characters since wordpress has been moved from a subfolder to the root. All paths in the database are correct.
Reinstalled WordPress
Any advice regarding something I might be overlooking would be greatly appreciated. Google refuses to index my front page.
Thank you.
]]>The URL’s look like this:
https://mysite.com/blog/post-title-example/
No, for some reason Google is looking for:
https://mysite.com/blog/post-title-example/index.php although nothing that I know of is telling it to look for the extra index.php
So, google is reporting errors :o(
Is there any setting that I might have missed? Where is it getting the extra index.php? Why is it looking for it when the links don’t use it?
Anyone has any idea of what the problem might be please?
Thanks
