1. I am trying to understand if there is the possibility with your plugin to show markers as places added through a KML file.

I like me know it is possible hide the layers in a kmz/kml files after render the map.

This is because I think the user will need show the names of the roads/places sometimes

maps engine export invalid kml file – using Comprehensive Google Map Plugin

Hi everybody!

I know this is not the first post to this topic, but the others couldn’t help me…
All the time when I export a map that I created either in Google Earth or in maps engine, I’ll get an invalid KML file.
This is the way how I proceeded in maps engine:

1. Set markers
2. draw paths
3. set share options to public on the web
4.1 Folder in the top left corner -> Embed in my webpage didn’t work

4.2 Save as kml -> creates an invalid file as well.

A little Earth symbole I unfortunately also can’t find.

Procedure in Google Earth:

1. Set markers
2. set paths
3. right click on the folder under MyPlaces -> save place as -> xxx.kml

Hopefully someone of you can help me with this.
I am at the end of my tether.

I still can’t seem to get it to work and currently no other plugin seems to offer google earth integration. I came across this however and was wondering if this was in any way helpful:

XML Google Maps – getting kmz file to automatically play flyover

I hope someone can help. I have created a tour in Google Earth and have saved this as a kmz file. I have emailed this kmz file to a couple of people and can confirm that when they click on the file, it automatically opens Google Earth and commences the tour.

I have tried embedded the kmz file in my website using the XML Google Maps plugin. The page can be seen below:

However, the kml file takes Google Earth to the start point of the tour, but the tour does not automatically play and there does not appear to be a way of getting it to play.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to resolve this, or what I’m doing wrong?

I recently came across a site with a interactive link to google earth. I am interested in doing something similar on www.tova.co.za but not sure how google earth works and where to start. I read something on KLM files but have no idea what people are talking about.

I currently use google maps but would like to have a interactive link, something similar to https://www.capecadogan.co.za/interactivemap.asp

I am trying to incorporate the Google Earth plugin into my WordPress site. My WordPress site is www.coloradofiremaps.com. Currently I use the WP Google Maps plugin to display static markers, but I would like to go to the next step – 3D visualization of KML files.

I was able to create a demo of the Google Earth Plugin at my personal site, which is here: https://www.markspeterson.com/Maps/GE_Test.html

The problem seems to be how to incorporate the javascript into WordPress, I don’t know much (anything?) about coding, but could anyone help me out with how I might replace the maps on one of my coloradofiremaps.com pages with the Google Earth plugin shown in the demo page above?
