I have recently installed a plugin to install the Google global site tag on our site – however I am noticing today that the Post Views Counter plugin is now malfunctioning and not displaying the correct number of reads (for example, our most recent content has hundreds of views at the moment but the plugin displays it as 14 or 22 reads, depending on the browser used)

Is there a known conflict with Gtag.js ?

Google Analytics not pulling Ecommerce data

My Google Analytics site is not pulling data from my Ecommerce site, Ecwid. I opened a support ticket on Ecwid as well as on Google Analytics and everything seems to be fine on both their sides. I was wondering if the issue might be on the plugins in my WordPress site.

I added the Global site tag (gtag.js) to a header of my WordPress site months ago.

The “Header and Footer” is installed as a plugin. Could you please let me know if the Global site tag was not correctly added or enabled?

On another note, my Ecommerce website (Ecwid) is also a plugin in my WordPress site. Could that be the issue?

Google has been sending out messages about the new “Global Site Tag” for Google Analytics. If I have my Google Analytics tracking code entered into All in One SEO already, will this take care of the change? Or will I have to do something different with this new tracking code?

I am using a child theme for my website. I want to add google analytics to the website – google gave me these instructions

This is the Global Site Tag (gtag.js) tracking code for this property. Copy and paste this code as the first item into the of every web page that you want to track. If you already have a Global Site Tag on your page, simply add the config line from the snippet below to your existing Global Site Tag.

I obviously want to add this code to only one place not manually add to every page on my website. I am using child theme on the site, so can you recommend which file in my child theme I should add this code to to implement the google global site tag tracking code?

since the Update to 1.6.1 I have an issue with the plugin.

I use the setting “EU Cookie LAW/ Cookieless tracking with fingerprint.js (Only Universal analytics) _YES_” and
in “Advanced” there is now “Google Analytics Type / Global Site Tag” – when I switch back to “Universal Analytics” it switches any time again to”Global Site Tag”!!

As a result it dosn′t work with “Fingerprint” (and switches to Cookie)
what is against Cookie-Law … so it′s urgent.

Hello,
For Website Tracking “Global Site Tag” can be added to “header.php” on the parent theme.
My question is:
Is it possible to add “Global Site Tag” on the child theme? (That might make it easier when the parent theme is updated)
If yes, can you please clarify how/where to do so?
