I display a global map on that page with each post shown on the location I added when creating it.

In the settings of Geo Mashup “Select more recent element on load.” is checked but stopped working on my last two posts. It’s stuck on the same post, an old one.

I’m not sure when, but I switched to https not so long ago and wondering if it can be related. I tried modify .htaccess in many way but still doesn’t work (it was once responsible for the plugin stop working).

Any clue? Thx!

Display global map with custom field adresses

Hi,

I installed Geo Mashup so that I can display a global map with all my posts;
These posts are from a custom post type “Locations” with a custom field “property_address_coordinates”.
In the plugin settings, I checked the post type “Locations” and I added “property_address_coordinates” in the Geocode Custom Field input.
But nothing is displaying on my global map…

What do I need to do ?

Single page displaying global map

Alrighty. I created the custom-post-type powered taxonomy “venue” using CPT-onomies. Each “venue” has an associated GeoMashup map and archive page that displays all posts associated with that venue.

The global map displays fine, and links go to the correct CPT pages.

However, on the venue archive page, the global map is still displayed. I’ve tried map_content=single, but then the map disappears completely. I’m also unable to display the location info on the single page.

I thought open_object_id might be able to help me pull the correct single map, but no luck so far.

I also tried centering the global map on the current post as described here:

However that just displays the regular global map as well, as if the venue has no map associated with it.

Any ideas?

Post global map add-on – display map and search results below on the page load

Hi,

Global Map is a great add-on, well worth paying money for. Maybe, I’m missing something here…

1. Is there a way to display Global Map on the page with post results listed below on the page load? Currently, only map is displayed with all the markers, no posts below. Posts only display if search form is submitted. I know I can use Post Locator form to do this but I like Post Global map as is has marker info window displaying on the right.

2. Secondly, is it possible to display Global Map’s search form separately in the sidebar, rather than displaying next to the map?

Name of event not location on global map

Is it possible to have the balloons on the global map say the name of the event instead of the name of the location? In Settings > Formatting, the map formatting only allows for location related placeholders. I wanted to put the name of the event and when clicked on, takes you to the event page instead of the location name and it taking you to the location page.

One of the things I need to create is a kind of mashup map, containing all the uploaded tracks/markers from other posts on a single global map. Do you think that’s possible and is it a planned feature?

anyone know of a plugin (can be paid for) that would enable me to produce an “interactive” global map similar to this one? Ideally I want to be able to click on a countryu and either get a pop-up or it takes me to a specific page.
