If you must use Woocommerce Blocks, this plugin will not work at all. You will be able to sell a gift certificate but the customer cannot use the gift certificate.

Company does not disclose this information, so if you are using WooPay, or something similar that has full block dependency, it will not work and they will not issue a refund. You will have to take it up with your CC company.

Customer support is the worst on their best day. If you get a reply within a week, be happy.

i have been experiencing trouble with the gift cards

they are not pulling the amounts to the cards i have tried everything even went over to the free plugin and still no success

we also have smart coupons installed so im not sure if anything is clashing somewhere

Hi, I know vendors can’t manage gift cards, but we can sell them. If we do sell gift cards, when a customer uses the card on a vendor’s product:

1. Can the vendor receive a payout as normal from our Stripe Connect?
2. What kind of reporting would we have for the usage of the giftcard redemption for us to manually pay the vendors?
3. Can we sell gift cards with a rule that they can only be redeemed through one seller?
4. If someone buys a gift card for €50, but redeems only €20, will there still be €30 left on the voucher to be redeemed at a later date?

Amount selection/input is not carrying through to cart

I have been loving this plugin, but it has suddenly stopped working correctly with the latest updates.

When a user selects/inputs an amount for the gift card product and adds to cart, when viewing the cart the amount is either 0 or the default set amount and NOT the amount that the user input.

You can view the product via the link attached to this query – the product is live, but not shown in the shop.

I notice my site is set to add-to-cart using ajax but this product reloads the page after adding to cart. Perhaps that’s relevant?

Please could you advise if this is a bug or whether it’s a clash with other plugins (although I have tested with other plugins and themes deactivated).

Prepaid Gift Card Accounting Issue

Per https://woo.com/document/gift-cards/faq/#gift-cards-accounting, Woo does not support multiple payment types. So prepaid gift cards modify the order total. I would like to think a better solution exists, rather than a convoluted workaround. The proper solution is to add support for at least two payment methods. This way, users can pay by gift card and the remainder paid using another method. As currently implemented, some back-end POS systems, such as Lightspeed, do not recognize the gift card is added, so there is an amount due showing in the POS upon order import.

Is there are proper solution for prepaid gift cards without this workaround? Namely, support for 2 or more payments at checkout?

Gift Cards payments are not accounted for properly

Our client is using this plugin (version 2.2.1) to process Heartland payments and accept physical Heartland gift cards. There is a problem with the accounting. This plugin is applying gift cards as an order discount. It should be applied as a payment and not have any impact on the order total.

Gift Card Funds Not Returned After Failed Payment

We have multiple instances showing up recently where a user attempted to redeem a YITH gift card, their order Failed (due to a Square error of one sort or another) and the gift card balance was not restored to their gift card. I know gift card balances are automatically restored when an order is cancelled or refunded. What about Failed orders? If not, can this be added to the plug-in?

FINAL UPDATE: The developer Pi Web reached out (thank you!) and provided a better understanding of how the plugin works. I am thrilled to report it is working very well!

Here is a short guide on how to install and use:

Install and activate the plugin as per their instructions, like any plugin.
Go to Coupons under Marketing to create a coupon
Under Discount Type select “Store Credit”
Under “Coupon Restrictions” add the customer’s email address so it only applies to that account.
Add amount, expiration, other restrictions, etc and save
Go back to the “Coupon Restrictions” and click the send email button.

Using MailPoet as the mailing plugin the emails are sent under the website name.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, I have to change my review. It creates the credit but does not send emails. It has been over 48 hours and no email received on my test account. I opened a thread in the forum, waiting for a reply there.

Doesn’t matter what Gift card amount you choose, the checkout always shows zero. Customers try to buy but cannot pay for it. I found an old thread in this forum but is closed. It speaks about add to cart button redirect to checkout. In the cart page it already shows zero, then same at the checkout. Is there anything you could do to assist please?
