When I created the addresses, it let me save them, but I got a message that said, Geocode was not Successful:REQUEST_DENIED. I could not find this error message in your forum, so I wasn’t able to troubleshoot myself. Also, only one of the 2 addresses is showing up on the map. I know both addresses are correct, but only one shows up.

And, I am unable to select a marker for my addresses, or change the icon. Clicking the down arrow does nothing.

Dear Ian and the wonderful Basic Google Maps Placemarks community.
I have been using this plugin for several years, and love it. A few months ago, it stopped working: I can still see old placemarks on my map, but for any new placemark I get the error message: “Basic Google Maps Placemarks geocode error: Request Denied”
As far as I know, I haven’t changed anything to cause this.

I know this has been an issue for several users but I can’t find an answer, would anyone be able to help?

A few things. I did search for this error, and I found a thread that was never resolved. I thought the error was due to a new API key. I got one, and it didn’t resolve itself. I get the error in 2 places. 1. When I add a new placemark. 2. On the Basic Google Maps settings page. I linked the screenshots below. The errors are highlighted. (I couldn’t figure out how to insert the photo in this post, so I linked it.)

The previous company that helped set up our page is no longer in business, so I’m not really sure where else I can turn to. Please help.

Can’t add listings since wp 4.7.3 update

Since the WP 4.7.3 version update
When attempting to add a new listing I get the following error:

“Address 1 DOBBIN LANE, , PROSERPINE, QLD 4800 failed to geocode. Received status REQUEST_DENIED”

I have installed the Locatoraid plugin on two WP websites. These websites are hosted by different companies.
I am using different themes but have tested using the same theme and the problem still exists.
I set up Locatoraid EXACTLY the same including the same API key.
One of them works fine. The other will respond to some zip code requests but for other zip codes I get a “Geocode error – request denied” response. There does not seem to be anything unique about the zip codes I use except for the ones that are near me. I have tried zip codes in oregon, california, ny and colorado. Some work others don’t on this one site. The only thing I can think is perhaps it has to do with the hosting server. I would love some help on this.
NOTE: Both these sites have “under development” plugin active but I will gladly provide a WP user and pw along with links to anyone who wants to have a look. These users are not admin… but they will allow you to get in and duplicate the problem.

Error when Location is set on Map

Good day, Wanted report an issue. Whenever i add a new place and go to the address bar, input the address and click the “set address on map” button it brings up an error message “The page…….websitename…says: Geocode was not successful for the following reason: ZERO_RESULTS”. Dont know why. Please help. And when i use the “Near” search bar it says no result found, but if i use the “Search for” search it brings out results. Even if the Saerch for and Near fields are related it wont bring up any results when i use both search bars at the same time. Only using the “search for” search bar works. Please help.
