Recount Activity gives error every time

I have a website with over 330,000 users that has been live for over 20 years. We migrated to the WordPress platform last year, have recently installed Gamify, and now I would like to perform Recount Activity within Gamify to retroactively reward users for creating forum topics.

We also have a staging site where we attempt every update and potentially disastrous action ahead of applying it directly to our site.

When I begin the Recount Activity, there are about 1,780,397 entries for the plug-in to process, and though the recount will sometimes make it all the way down to only several hundred thousand to go, it has hit an error each and every time. I’ve probably tried the recount about 10 different times.

I have tried to simplify the process by reducing the loop down to 50 per loop, 20 per loop etc. with no better results. I’ve tried narrowing the recount down to only one award that it is recounting, the forum post award, by not having the awards show on our main feed (which prevents literally millions of posts), etc.

But I am still getting an error.

What can I do to ensure the recount completes itself? Or, what do you think I am doing wrong?

Well, I have explored almost anything and everything that has to do with gamification over the years. MyCred is by far the best option among all of the available gamification plugins to gamify your community. Just look at the simplicity to create a new hook even if you are not very good at coding and the extensibility with hundreds of the integrations available. And the newly released myCred level add-on, well it puts this plugin into a league of its own. Hat’s off to the whole team for supporting and continuing the development of this plugin.

I’m looking for a solution to let volunteers sign up for tasks and to reward them with points, badges, and awards using the GamiPress (Gamify) plug-in. Does your tool provide any kind of hook to do that?

Gamifying volunteerism is so effective! GamiPress has a lot of integrated plug-ins for things like forms and Event Manager. But there’s nothing I can find for task sign-up and management.

Will your product work? (If so, you’d get a lot of exposure by getting officially listed as an integrated plugin on there site. If not, even a possible hack here would be much appreciated as it seems like some kind of web call when a user signs up for a task and completes a task would do the trick)

I want to manage volunteers and let them sign up for tasks/projects and track progress and assign gamipress points. Any suggestions on a plug-in or strategy that would help me do that?

I see various project/task plug-ins, but I’m not sure what to look for to be able to integrate it so I give points to members for completing volunteer tasks. The Event Manager looks like it will handle events, but for other tasks, I’m unsure what would work?
