New to the forums; hope to have posted in the right corner…
For a recently set up page I started using WP 3.2 and I was pretty amazed what can be done with WP and how easy it is to adjust the look and content to my needs. I run myself a photo gallery webpage with Gallery2 installed.
Now I’m thinking of migrating my own content (say, pictures) into a WP installation. There are some great skins around (like this one just to pick one). But I don’t want to reupload all my photographs again (and especially all the descriptions).
1) Is there any chance to batch import pictures from Gallery2 into a WP gallery site?
2) Any other suggestions for themes (no matter if pay skins or free skins) for mainly photographic content (and a “about me” and a “contact me” static page)?
Thanks for any help on this one!
Cheers Mirko
]]>It has been a long time since I have used NextGEN and see it has some of this ability but have not been able to make it function similar to that of what Gallery2 once did when it was integrated. Gallery 2 is no longer functioning properly or has a lifespan. And Gallery 3 has yet to evolve.
Is there anyway to get NextGEN to work this way? Or is there some other plugin that will work in this manner?
Thank you.
]]>Unfortunately, while editing the gallery in it’s embedded form via it’s WordPress page, changes made to the gallery do not show up. I see the number of WP-Cached pages increasing as I view the gallery (which is normal, I believe), but it would seem that these cached pages are being served up to me. This is while I’m logged in to WordPress as admin, so I shouldn’t be receiving any cached pages at all.
Is this behaviour known about? I am happy to help in testing/fixing the issue. Just let me know how I can help! (I am a competent programmer).
]]>I have a WordPress installation integrated with Gallery 2 using the WPG2 plugin.
I have the Geo Mashup plugin installed in WordPress and the Google maps plugin installed in Gallery 2
The Google Maps plugin allows me to tag pictures with a location which can then be shown on a google map in a similar way to the way the Geo Mashup plugin works with posts in wordpress.
What I’d like to be able to do is integrate both these together on the same google maps page so it shows both picture and post locations.
Does anyone know how I can do this? Has anyone done this before or anything similar?
Thanks
Rich
