I’d be very grateful for any ideas. Unfortunately, the pages are password protected and I cannot send the problem URL’s on this public forum. Nor can I seem to be able to attached screen shots of the problem pages. Thanks Andrew Huggett
]]>I’m using a plugin on my site to upload files directly to Amazon s3 and delete them from the local media. However, because WordPress 4.4 uses responsive images system, I can see that the featured images on my site are showing 404 because WordPress is [likely] forcing to use the local server source instead of S3.
You can see what I’m talking about here: https://hashtagdhaka.com
Images inserted into the post do not have a problem being served from the S3. But the featured images have an srcset link to local server (/wp-content) where the file does not exist.
Is there an easy way to disable the responsive image feature from WordPress 4.4?

I had originally saved the images for web at 1366×768 px @72 dpi, but found they were a bit fuzzy on my Mac, so I uploaded the full resolution photos assuming there was compression in the plugin. The original photos were approximately 3000×2000 px @ 300 dpi. This seemed to help immensely, but not on the first two devices listed.
Can someone shed some light on why this may be happening and provide a solution? Thanks in advance for any help!

]]>I have the vortex theme, my site is https://eyelinerwingsandprettythings.com.
I am desperate–every pretty .PNG I upload turns into a fuzzy mess and I have no solution, if the answer is something to do with changing the CSS can someone explain how to do that? When I go to change CSS there’s nothing there, I uploaded my layout via uploading a compressed file.

]]>(1) On the Page Edit page, one installation has a single line of icon tools and on the other installation has two lines of icons. The line that contains the color tool is missing on one installation. ??
(2) This is the important one. The same image file uploaded to one site is sharp when displayed but fuzzy on the other site. Same pixel size and all. What could cause that?
]]>More info:
I uploaded them at full size and they looked blurry so then I used photoshop’s “save for web” dialog and saved them at exactly 918×322, since I figured out that that is the size of the space when it is at full width. I also made sure to set the size of the slides at 918×322 in the options. But it still looks just as bad. When I inspect the element, it says that the “natural size” is 550×193. I never did anything that would make them 550×193.
Is it compressing them? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help!
