Category full paths – subcategories

Hello! It seems that only the last category is displayed, but not the parent categories. So, the full path is not displayed. For example, when I’m on the category page for Audi, it shows “Home / Products / Audi” , where Products is my custom post type, and Audi is a child category of a category Cars. So really the breadcrumb should be
“Home / Products / Cars / Audi”

How can this be achieved?

Hi, I create pages where I created the following structure in the template menu:

Home >> Page >> Post Category

However, in breadcrumb navigation, I always see only the following:

Home >> Posts Category

Is there a way to view the full path to the post category with parent page not included in posts or categories?

I learn the process of converting html into WordPress theme.
Problem is that in the html code, unless I modify from relative to full path of my images(and maybe other objects as well) they are not seen – only empty box.
Here is the site root

In the dashborad the WordPress address and the site address are correct.

uploading custom icons

I am struggling to upload custom icons.

I am a novice, and do not understand the difference between URL and full path, which is what is required

I have created a file called icons in the WP-content folder and uploaded the icons which are named the same as the original ones, they just aren’t showing on my pages. I am thinking it is because of the URL and path names

Could someone point me in the right direction please

Why does wordpress store a full path to content?

I come from Drupal, and find it odd that WordPress stores full paths to images and requires manual steps to update the site URL when migrating between environments. I cannot think of any reason for having it this way now or at any time in the past. It makes migrating between environments more difficult for first time users and it just feels sloppy. Everyone knows you should not use full paths in case your domain changes. Even the WYSIWYG wants me to set a full path by default when I link to my own content. Can anyone give a reasonable explanation as to why it is this way, and if there are any tickets open for storing relative paths instead of the full one with the domain attached?

Hi,
This worked fine and I thought i would simply be able to point my registered domains to each subfolder and that would be it. While the subdomains point to the right blogs, if I click on one of the links it shows me the full url path…i.e https://www.vinationsrugby.com will bring me to home page but if I click a link it brings me to https://www.scd-emarketing.com/alasdair/ireland etc

Anybody any ideas of how to keep the domain for entire blog?

WYSIWIG hard coding full URL path to content?

Hello,

We’re having some difficulties with our site and SSL. We have a SSL cert for the site https://xyz.com and that’s fine… but the content that it’s pulling is wordpress generated and that content includes items references with a non-secure https://xyz.com/blah.jpg type links. This occurs whenever we use the WYSIWIG to add an image or other media to a post/page, instead of adding a relative link like it inputs .

Is there any way to configure the site to not do this? Ideally all paths would be relative within posts/pages so whether we use https://xyz.com or https://xyz.com, all content references on the page are secure/non-secure as needed.
