Plug In problem

I installed Jetpack on my site and it broke my theme, so I won’t to my ftp files and deleted manually.
As I have used Jetpack with no problem I decided to reinstall it thinking it was a bad install. Before I had a chance to activate it, it broke my theme again, only this time when I went to my ftp files, it’s not there and I can’t delete it and I can’t get into my sites.

Is there a another way to resolve this problem and get rid of Jetpack?

CSS Not in ftp files, but in source code

I am working on a wp site that I took over and need to edit some css and it is not there in the style sheets nor any of the php files on the host. The source code says otherwise.

Below is the code I want to change (height from 415 to 615) and I cannot locate the css in the ftp. I also checked these files in the index.php, header.php, front_page_template.php, page_no_sidebar.php. This is the reFresh Light template. I am not a wizard at all with wp yet so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Line 450 in source code I actually want to chage from 415 to 615 and cannot locate it.

Fatal error: Class 'WP_Theme' not found

When I upgraded to WP 3.4.1 I got this message, “Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Theme’ not found in /home/roar/public_html/wp-includes/theme.php on line 106”

I searched the forum and found a member’s thread with the same problem and it was resolved. My problem is a bit embarrassing.

In the resolved thread the moderator gave clear instructions to fix the problem, 1)manually download version 3.4.1 to your computer; 2)unzip the file; 3)ftp the files up

My problem is I don’t know how or where to ftp the files. How do I upload the files when I can’t get into my dashboard? What ftp do I use? Where do I upload it to?

I know these are stupid questions but that is the level I am at in WP and computer knowledge in general. Sorry for the being so illiterate and thank you in advance for your understanding and help.

I’m a newcomer to WordPress and have created a blog which is now working ok.
I deleted and re-worked the blog a couple of times using images uploaded from my iMac.

In the /blog folder and also in the blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/02 folder I am seeing a number of binary files all starting with letters ftp followed by 5 random letters or numbers. e.g. ftpAz97d

Are these known working files or can they be deleted. Within the wp-content folders I am also seeing the expected picture files. The blogs are working normally.

Help?

Hi,

I have a really basic question that I was hoping that you could answer. I’m a complete newbie so you may have to forgive my stupidity…

Basically, I’ve been trying to edit the platform theme by creating a child theme with wordpress. So I have found the css style sheet through my fasthosts FTP files, downloaded it, edited it and then uploaded it in the themes section not in the platform theme file, but for love nor money it doesn’t actually change my website.

Please help me! I’m on a bit of a deadline and I just can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong!

Need Help Transferring Blog Files

My blog was hacked into and as a result I need to copy the files from the FTP server to a new hosting account.

Which WordPress files are the ones that I need to set up my blog on this new account? I can’t copy them all since the malware is embedded somewhere in there. I just need to know which files are essential.
