This is a great plugin for people that do not wish to share the photos uploaded via the front end uploader on Social Networking Sites such as FB, Twitter and Tumblr. The plugin does NOT support OG images. I have been in contact with the support for a few weeks now and they admitted what I already knew that the error was the plugin. I waited about 3 weeks for the fix and then was told they figured it out and that a fix would be installed…it ended up breaking my site while they were working on it and I had to disable the plugin and the fix in order to get my site back up. They then decide to send me a message saying that it was my fault it wasn’t working and to contact YOAST! My Yoast plugin works PERFECT. OG images and previews work PERFECTLY when uploaded via the dashboard.
Like I said, This is a great plugin IF you don’t need to share the images online. For me, That function is EVERYTHING and I will now need to find a whole new plugin to use and hope that I can at least get a refund for all the time wasted here. If you decide to trust them that this works I encourage you to ask for proof before purchase. I gave the low rating because all the time that was wasted
In short, This plugin works but if you need to share a photo to social media it will not show…it will show your site logo or default image and NEVER the photo that was uploaded to your site. The creators are NOT able to fix this issue and instead blames in on yoast even though the plugin fails with or without yoast installed lol

Frontend Posting / Frontend Post Submission

It would be important to post the members on the closed part of the website.
There are a lot of plugins for frontend posting, but can you suggest some plugin for this, which compatible with your plugin?
Or have you got any addon for this issue?

I mean, the submitted post should be also closed.

Form action ‘Create New Post’

Currently, there is no form action to create a new post using the form entries. Having all this Gutenberg blocks on hand why not create a post by form. Current frontend posting does not provide Gutenberg blocks and it would push this plugin ahead of them.

Really happy with your plugin I found!
Finally, after searching for so long finally one that has all my my needs.
I’ll do some tweaking, but after that it is completely suitable for my goal: a personal non-public cookbook with my own recipes.

I only have one wish: how can I make so that I can fill in all custom fields at the front of my website? Most front form plugins are aimed at Advanced Custom Fields and they don’t seem to work for DR.

So How Exactly Are Members Supposed To Create Posts?

Ultimate member is installed. There is zero way to add another tab to the profile and there is zero way to allow members to submit blog posts.

How exactly are they supposed to do this? What is the purpose of UM, just some profile? The plugin highjacks the entire login and registration and then doesn’t provide a single path for the members to DO anything, they can’t post, they can’t edit, they can’t do anything.

I need ONE user role to register, log in, go to their profile, click a tab that allows them to CREATE POST that is PENDING until moderated…and then published, and then when the member is in their profile/account there is a tab or an option for them to see all the posts they’ve made, edit those posts, or delete them.

Otherwise UM serves zero purpose and I’ll uninstall it. I need my members to post. Not just have a profile for no apparent reason.

Does UM do this or not?

The plugin works excellent, I think it needs the upload custom avatar field, but for everything else I recommend it %100…at the momment

WP User Frontend Dashboard Questions

Hello,

I would like to start out by saying that I am very impressed with the “WP User Frontend” plugin. It’s the only front-end posting plugin that I could find that allows users to edit their posts without having to access the wp-admin area.

WordPress is an AMAZING Content Management System (CMS) but it still has a very one man show feel to it. Not a whole lot of options for guest posting or creating a community outside of setting up a forum, especially when you don’t want your members to have access to the wp-admin.

That being said I am very hopeful that WP User Frontend will provide what I am looking to accomplish for my site. I just have a few questions…

Question #1:

I am trying to insert the WP User Frontend Dashboard Shortcode into my user profile. Is there a way to show all of the content which the user has submitted to the site?

[wpuf_dashboard] shows the standard WordPress posts submitted by the user.
[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”your_post_type”] will show custom content types which the user has submitted content for.

But how can I show all content that they have submitted? Let’s say that I have a “Review” custom content type, a “News” custom content type, and a “User Portfolio” custom content type. How would I create a list to show all three custom content types?

I could do something like this:

[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”review”]
[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”news”]
[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”user_portfolio”]

But when I do this it shows the logged_in_users_name and then the word Dashboard at the top of the outputted information. So, putting all three of these Shortcodes on the same page doesn’t look very good.

I guess that Question #2 is:

Can I hide the Dashboards page-head and remove the users name and Dashboard title? So that
[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”review”]
[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”news”]
[wpuf_dashboard post_type=”user_portfolio”]
Would only display the “You have created # (Reviews) (News) and (User Portfolios)” then list those posts for editing/deletion etc.?

I saw on https://wedevs.com/docs/wp-user-frontend-pro/getting-started/user-dashboard/ that you SHOULD be able to display multiple post types with the Shortcode [wpuf_dashboard post_type=”post_type_name, custom_post_type_name”] but I cannot seem to get that Shortcode to work correctly. It seems to only list the first post type and then stop. So, for example, I tried to insert [wpuf_dashboard post_type=”review, news, user_portfolio”] but it only showed the list of Reviews for some reason.

Can you offer me some advice on how I can set this up to work properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am a new customer of the premium version, so I apologize if I miss something but I need to have a better idea f what I can de, asap. I have a membership site with full control on roles and capabilities. My website is frontend only, I use a frontend posting plugin that supports attachments, CPT and custom meta if needed. From my understanding, media, galleries and albums are all CPT, so it should be possible to integrate my frontend posting system with GMedia gallery, but considering that Gmedia are not standard attachments, I need to understand how. How do relationships between media, galleries and albums work? Are Gmedia automatically attached to each CPT? With what kind of relationship? (please note that I also use ACF, just in case this can help). One more thing, would be possible to add a shortcode to my templates to display current user galleries / albums? (usually a snippet to change the default WP_Query filters does the trick). I see that by default the user must be selected in the query, or it automatically gets the_author or the user nice name? Is there any documentation about an API (if any)? Thank you very much in advance.
