Would like to change landing page: No front page display options

I have created pages through page builder and have removed the sample page.

However when previewing my site, the landing page that appears is “Nothing found, Ready to publish your first post, Get started here”.

I would like to change the landing page to the homepage I have created using page builder however when I navigate to reading settings, there is no option for “front page displays”.

Do you have any idea why this may be and whether there is another method to change the landing page?

The pages also aren’t found when I use the permalinks, the settings for all of the permalinks are set to plain.

I would be grateful for any suggestions!

Homepage Not Showing Content

I’m having an issue with the homepage not showing it’s page content. I have the homepage set to static display, and while the slider gets displayed, the rest of the page content does not. I’ve tried disabling the slider to see if the content becomes visible, but it does not. Any ideas?

Home/front page wont display page description

Hello all,

I’m trying to create a website that has a static front page that allows for some information display and navigation as well as a location where my blog posts will appear. I have been successful in creating this page such that it displays the appropriate icons, header, menu bar along with my posts as they are published. However, I have been unsuccessful in getting the page description for my front page to display below the ‘Home Blog Title’ which is currently “Ahzuumaht Wonders.”

I have tried changing around the settings for front page displays under Settings>Reading>Front Page Displays but have not been able to get them to work regardless of what I select for ‘front’ or ‘posts’ pages.

All in all the way the page looks and works now is fine, but I would like to be able to display a paragraph below the “Ahzuumaht Wonders” home blog title on this front page to give readers an idea of what to expect in the posts and prompt them to join in discussions.

Cannot edit links on Homepage slider images

I am trying to link the [Read More] buttons in the homepage slider images to pages that exist already. (see freeflowpipes.co.nz)

I cannot see any links to sliders when I edit an image.

I cannot see “Don’t show any posts or page” to be set for the “Front page displays” setting.

Can you please explain.

Blog post still shown if on blog post page

I am working with a client who has a blog post page set up in there install that is different then there front page.

You know the Front Page setting that can be set in the:

Settings >> Reading Setting >> Front page displays: Posts Page: (drop down menu of pages)

So a blog post that would be hidden everywhere would still show up on the blog page. For example >> https://example.com/blog

I found the answer / solution by hacking the plugin as suggested here almost two years ago. I just wonder why it hasn’t been implemented into the plugin yet?

Front page displays not showing?

Hi, just started with my first multisite, and the option to select between static page and blog does not show on the settings – reading, only shows on my main site but i need to create static home page for all other sites.
Where do i do that?

Eshop list alpha shortcode if used – opens posts/blog page?

I have this problem that’s driving me crazy. I am using the “eshop_list_aplha” shortcode on my front page (Home page) set in the wordpress settings/reading/ “front page displays” section. However if I set the page that has the “eshop_list_aplha” shortcode on it to be the front page whenever one of the alphabetical letters is clicked on rather than opening all the products beggining with that letter i.e letter “a” it opens a page displaying all the posts? in this case the default wordpress post “hello world”. I’ve been going around in cirlces with this issue for months now, I’ve tried various experiments and combinations of settings, changing themes, turning off all plugins etc,etc but all to no avail.

If I set the front page to another page everyting works fine but this defeates the whole point of having the home page as the main shop page which is what we want to do.

Does anyone know what might be casuing this issue, I would be deeply appreciative if anyone could help me out. Yourts Andy, Malvern the UK

Show Slideron non-static page?

I love this theme and I would ideally like to be able to have my home page show my most recent post AND show my slider. I have been playing around with all the options and have not been able to figure it out. Is there a way to set the setting to: “Front page displays: Your latest posts” AND show the slider?

Additionally, [maybe I should have a different post for this one?] I tried to use the “Custom” front page option under the “Bizstudiolite options” and with that selected, I am unable to get all the default circles, pictures and default theme-text to disappear… (all language is deleted from those form fields). Any thoughts on this too?
