I’m not great at tech stuff – I actually hate all the drag and drop stuff so I use classic editor. I keep my main landing page with a header/logo etc, a featured posts slider, right sidebar and my posts laid out in grid style (the images are square/rectangular) but a while back – the images were getting cut off and you can only see a part of them and they look hideous! I have no clue what do or how to fix it. I’ve tried both plugins suggest by you to regenerate thumbnails but to no avail! Please help! It’s been making me crazy to the point where I haven’t even kept up with my blog for like 6 months!! Help! THanks!

I can only have theme sections on the homepage. What if I need to add a text somewhere in the middle or bottom of the homepage. There is no homepage / front page widget area.

How to display posts on homepage AND a separate posts page

The theme customization choices allow you to choose between displaying your latest posts on the homepage OR showing them on a specified posts page. So that I can have a cohesive news section in the navigation menu, I want to do both: show the three most recent posts in a section on the homepage AND create a news landing page showing all posts.

[CURRENT CONFIG]: I set the homepage to display posts (works as expected), but am unable to designate a separate post list page such as /news/ or /blog-posts/.

[FORMER CONFIG]: I can also do the opposite scenario — but there is a bug. If I select a static page for the homepage and do NOT select a page, my homepage stays the same (shows posts and other Nimble Builder content). The news page — and ALL other post list pages — display the post teasers, but the top info such as breadcrumbs, title, and metadata is missing (bug).

In summary, can I specify posts on the homepage and have a posts page that functions properly? I cannot find anything about how to achieve this in docs, snippets, forum, etc. Is it feasible? Thank you!

“Continue reading” link not correct in Front Page Content menu

I’ve created a menu to display Front Page Content and added one of my pages to it, and I’ve just noticed the “Continue reading” link at the bottom of the preview is not linking to the page. It’s linking to the Homepage.

How can I just show my gallery and sidebars, without showing any front page content? I created a blank page, but that shows up as a gray rectangle. The behavior I want is the same as what you get when you hide the front page content, so if there’s an easy way to do that by default, that would work, too. Thanks.

I like this theme, but I don’t understand this theme.
– Why isn’t there a proper, full, static Front Page rendered?
– Why don’t subpages render in the main menu?
Maybe my purpose is not suitable?
Maybe I don’t know what I am doing?

–This disables excerpts everywhere. I do not want full posts on my Blog page.

Hi I have been trying to add content to the front page with no luck. www.mermaidpavingandtiling.com.au
My tc_header, footer, fpu, etc are all 1170px wide. I have a picture background so I have adjusted all the bottom margins so there is no gaps. I had used the content below slider snippet & had the content as a ‘blockquote’ which was fine until I changed everything to 1170px wide. I can adjust the right margin so it looks ok in Chrome but out of line in IE & on mobile. I need to have a white background for this content & for it to be inline with the header & FPU’s.
The php code I am using is:

How To: Get something to display on front page only.

Hi All,

I have a template that does not have the “Single Post” option in the template editor.

What I’m trying to do is get a video (flash embed) to display on the front page only … so when visitors click on any one of the stories, they don’t show that.

Suggestions?
