]]>We have a setup where “[email protected]” is a shared mailbox in our Microsoft Exchange environment. This shared mailbox does not have its own login credentials. Alongside, we have a regular user account “[email protected]” which is connected to and has access to the shared mailbox.
My question is: Can we configure the WP Mail SMTP Plugin to send emails from the “[email protected]” shared mailbox using the login credentials of the “[email protected]” account? If so, could you please guide us on the proper configuration settings to achieve this?
I would greatly appreciate any advice or instructions you can provide regarding this setup, as we want to ensure our email communications are correctly configured and sent from the appropriate address.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.
]]>The gmail account I’ve used to connect the Gmail mailer is hof@[my-domain].org.
On a hall of fame nomination form email notification, I want emails to be sent from hof@[my-domain].org. This works as expected with the WP Mail SMTP plugin set up and the mailer connected.
On a different form’s email notification, I want emails to be sent from a different email address specified: em…@[my-domain].org. I thought I configured things correctly between WP Mail SMTP settings and GravityForms notification settings, but it’s not working as expected.
Under WP Mail SMTP general settings, I have:
From Email: hof@[my-domain].org
Force From Email: off
From Name: [org name]
Under GravityForms Notification settings for one email notification (In Memoriam form submissions), I have:
From Email: em…@[my-domain].org
Reply To: em…@[my-domain].org
The actual email notification comes through as
From: em…@[my-domain].org <hof@[my-domain].org>
Reply-to: em…@[my-domain].org
I want the actual email notification to come through as
From: em…@[my-domain].org <em…@[my-domain].org>
How might I do this?
My client is wanting to be able to reply directly to the individual who submitted through their form but the from email is currently the set admin email for the website. I know this can be done, but am having trouble knowing exactly what needs to be changed/added to make this happen. Please advise. Thank you!
]]>What has happned and how can this be resolved? I’d like to use an email that exists and I’m very uncomfortable with emails appearing to come from email addresses that don’t actually exist.
Thank you for your help!
