I need two MAIN forums.
]]>I am advising ALL Activists to include your Forums in their WP websites, to discuss, co-ordinate and plan shifts in their lifestyles, joint projects, buying sustainable food, solar panels etc. together and your Forums make it all possible, without having Facebook spying on them.
The Polls feature is KeY to this, and allows democratic decisions to be made, from the comfort of their homes.
Similarly, being able to share documents, images and other files allows them to collaborate on producing and sharing publicity materials, like posters and flyers, articles, blog posts and tweets.
I cannot tell you how important this is to small groups of young kids, with no money, and just a little laptop, if they’re lucky…

I have been tweaking this plugin for a while and have been bowled over by the Author’s support for every support question. He is courteous, thorough and fast.
The plugin is superb, designed for ease of use and with a compact administration backend that shames the larger, more popular Forum/Bulletn Board/Discussion/Q&A plugins.
I cannot praise it enough! Shame there aren’t 6 stars! 
I love this simple, yet effective Forum plugin, that allows the addition of Bulletin Board-style Forums.
It is intuitive, easy to style and pretty straightforward…

We installed bbPress and related plugins. Set up our first forum and topic and in widgets setup bbPress Forums list. When you go to webpage and click on “Forum List” for Forum/Topic we get this message: “This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it? It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help.”
We followed bbPress Help page installation word for word. Something is not linking???? We would appreciate any suggestions regarding this.

]]>Last night I did my first install of WordPress with a little help from the nice people hanging out in the Installation Forum – thanks again everybody. BTW, it took me a long time to do as I’m very new to mysql, php, ect.
Today, I’d like to add a forum. I’m very worried about screwing up my database or having to tinker with too many files. I’d like to add it now because I’ve yet to start customizing my site (WP is my main page BTW)and figure I should get all the things I want in there first, then go to work adding content ect.
I’ve read (or at least looked at the headlines for the first 100 post in these forums related to forums plugin).
So, here’s my question:I want a forum that will have about 10 or so categories listed under about five different cities. For instance: Chicago Jobs, Housing, For Sale, Events, ect.
Of course I want people only to log in once and I understand that bbPress and some plugins can do that.
It doesn’t have to be fancy or anything.
So, as a newb to using databases and php, should I choose a stand-alone like bbPress or a plugin I just upload to Wp?
I’m asking you assuming you are much more experienced with these things than I and will know which is better for someone at my level.
