need plugin widget with defined text format

I’m looking for a plugin that will create text widgets that I can place on a template for posts. The text formatting for each widget will be different. For instance, I want to format the post name with certain parameters, below that the author’s name with different parameters, then a text field that contains a sentence or two about the article (not an excerpt). Then at the bottom I need a text field where I can insert a short author bio. Below that comes a field with social media icons.

Is there any plugin available where I can generate text field widgets with individual pre-formats?

unformatted text in front page and Category page

Hi Support Team,
I’m using NewsPress Lite Theme and I’m having some trouble with the front page and category page. I have a category “Poetry”, Users posting poetry to the “Poetry” category, it looks fine on that blog page. However, that post also is shown on my front page and category page the same as other categories. Problem is that poetry shows as a paragraph in category page and front-page, instead of formatted as shown on the blog page. For example, there is poetry, 5 words written on one line and 5 next lines so on, but category and the front page won’t show those lines separate it shows a whole paragraph which users won’t understand that it is a poem or just paragraph. How shows the text in the category and front page same as the blog? I’m including the links for all pages that might help. I really appreciate your help. Thank you

Note: I have reached out to the Theme support and I got the following response.

We are sorry but the Excerpt Formatting is generated and controlled by WordPress Core, not from the Themes. There is no direct way to do this. But it is still possible with Manual Coding.

Is it possible to print the current date but formatted in the pdf as it is done with the custom date fields?

For example, to be able to add the year to the pdf only [_format_date “Y”] o [date “Y”]

Hello people,
as shown in this and this screenshots, when i edit a page, the symbols “<” and “>” are in the formatted area but on the published page i’m (and anyone else is) not able to see these symbols in the formatted area.
Is there a way to fix this issue?

Plugin REQUEST: Hover HTML formatted popup

I’m looking for a plugin that will allow me to insert html formatted code or straight text into a hover link popup box. NOT looking for a glossary, index, etc where I’d predefined words and site-wide the popup links are created. I have WAY too much data to do this in one spot and need the text formatted. Just a plugin that will allow the user to hover over over a (usually dotted) underscored reference, at which point a box pops up with additional information being referenced. It would be nice if the underlined hover popup text could be created along the lines of a hyperlink; highlight text, click a button, insert text or html formatted text and move on. I have a TON of reference links which open new tabs, just want everything calm, cool and concise on my own site to make it quicker and easier for the viewer.

I’ve been trying to figure out how I can get the output from a query into a printable page format. One in which output of each record winds up in it’s own table cell in a manner that has 4 per row and 6 rows per page. Also, field names should not appear.

Has anyone done something like this?

Help adding links to WP comments

I’ve hired someone to respond to users’ comments on my blogs. She replies directly through the comments form. She is very non-technical.

Apparently, before upgrading to the latest WordPress, there was some kind of tab or field in our comments form that helped her format links so they weren’t just raw URLs. She would hit some sort of tab that would pop up a URL interface, and that would allow her to make a link that looked like:

* Here is a description of the link

Instead of:

* https://some-random-domain.com/with-a-really-long-url/blah-blah/blue-cow

I’ve searched and searched but I can’t for the life of me recall what kind of function was in the commments form to help her do that, nor can I see in wayback or the google cache, but I know it was there.

Can anyone help me remember what kind of plugin or theme function would let a non-technical person insert formatted URLs through the comments interface? I have spent hours trying to figure this out.

Post formatting improperly at main blog URL, but not at permalink

My latest post is not properly formatted when reached through the main blog URL:

I am using WordPress 1.5.2, have not changed the theme (MinimaPlus) or stylesheet recently.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Importing UTF-8 Converted Files as Formatted

Converting documents to UTF8 that were generated outside of WP with Notepad or other editors saves these as plain text. You then have to manually add back formatting inside the WP editing window.

There are editors that can save UTF8 with formatting (WorldPad); however they save these files under the xml file type.

Anyone know if there’s a way to bring these into WP in order to avoid re-stylizing long imported posts, etc.?

output rss not formatted – how to fix?

I am using CaRP to aggregate my wordpress posts and show them on my site. However when they appear on my site, the articles are not formatted. Like there is no break lines or spacing or anything, it is just a bunch of words stuck together, while the actuall article on wordpress looks fine. Is this a problem with my RSS aggregator? The character encoding is set to UTF-8…
