Can I set a slide’s background image to be fixed?

Fairly self explanatory… I am curious if my slider can use a single background image and it is fixed (doesn’t move), but all the content on the slides will move.

Specifically, I am looking to have this: A few dynamic slides with some text, links, a button, and you can see a background image. When each slide moves away, the background image stays put, but all the other content moves off and new content moves in.

Hello!

I’m afraid that my website isn’t online yet (it’s all localhost at this point), but I’d be happy to post images if that would help.

I’m using a single slider image in lieu of a large header graphic (it works great if you remove all the text), and my header (aka the logo and menu) are overlaid across the top of the image with a very low opacity…basically, you can still see the image, but there’s a tint so that the logo and menu pop. Right now, the header is fixed and it’s working great, but I’d like to lock the slider image after it’s scrolled far enough that all that’s showing is behind the header area.

Does anyone know how I’d go about doing this? I’m at a loss.

toggle menu does not close on clicking li

1. menu will not close after clicking on li item and remains opened until anywhere else is clicked outside of the menu section.

2. I have few fixed images working on my onepage website, and it looks like fixed images are not working from mobile browser. How can I fix the issue? I see other sites work same effect I desire. Try comparing my website and opening a website https://www.tobogganbrewing.com/ from a mobile browser. fixed image still works on mobile browser seemlessly for their site.

Full Width Slider and Fixed featured image on posts

Hi,

I am running the Mars & Venus theme from Creative Market, and I’d like to make some changes but I can’t figure this out. I can code it but I sort of need someone to explain how. I’ve tried but it doesn’t seem to work. It complicated when you’re working with another person’s code.

My Issues
I would also like my featured image on each post to be viewed like this https://www.inthefrow.com/2016/03/3-ways-confident.html – when the page scrolls, the image remains fixed – the one at the top of the page.

How to make my post more narrow

Hello,

My wordpress blog Ygrids.com is using a Magazino Theme. I have several problems I can’t resolve, even though I have tried using a child-theme.

1. On the homepage ‘Home’ (ygrids.com) I would like to have an image that doesn’t change when a new post is made. Right now it automatically shows an image and the title of the most recent post, but it’s not clickable anyway.

2. Secondly, I would like to make my posts more narrow. I feel like the text would look a lot better if it were. Right now it just feels a bit ‘wide’. I hope you understand my problem, here’s an example post.

Fixed image header?

Is there a way to make the header background image fixed relative to the viewer, so that when the user scrolls down the image doesn’t move but the content does? Right now that seems to be the only way to keep my background from “breaking” on different sized screens.

Hello – I need to add an image to the side of my browser. I am trying to find a plugin that will do this. In this case my image will be a gif.

It is essentially like the fixed ads we often see on sites – that stay in the same position fixed to the left of the browser and stays in position when scrolling.

Does anyone know any plugins like this?

I’ve managed to find the image in the file manager. It’s called nav.jpg. But I can’t figure out how to make it not scale when I adjust the size of the browser window. I know that this is a fancy feature and is part of what makes it responsive, but I just need a static image that doesn’t scale. I’m fine making an image that is super wide and goes all the way across as a browser grows, that’s fine, I just can’t have it distort the image.

Anyone know how to help me please?

fixing background image

so my last issue i figured out myself. the real problem i’ve sun in to now, is getting the remainder of the flower on the left side (separate image) to not move when I scroll down the page.

since I won’t know the length of each page, is it possible to have two images at the bottom? One with the stem of the flower fading to green, and then one at the bottom that is a green shade and repeats for long pages?

I’m trying to get this all sorted out before we make the site live and assign a domain.
