and it worked great. I just personally want to know how did he come up with that code? Is it possible to see this code on firebug in the manner that I mentioned above? Or am I missing some basic info that I need to understand. If so, can someone give me some understanding on this?

which tools are more appropiate: using Chrome developer tools with WordPress or using FireBug?
well – can you explain why we should use chrome devel-tools instead of fireBug!?
https://www.customscreenprintedtransfers.com/buy-water-based-transfer-sheets/
I am trying to center the number in the quantity box. I am using firebug and modifying the CSS to this:
.quantity .plus, .quantity .minus, .quantity .qty {
margin: 0 0.53em 0 0;
float: center;
}
When I do, it works just fine. But then when I insert that CSS into my theme, the number box is still left justified. I’ve been working on this for a few days now and I can’t seem to figure out why I can’t get a permanent change using the CSS that I am using successfully in firebug.
Here is the thing:
On one of my wordpress sites, if I go to certain pages, and click on inspect element, I see html code, that so far is completely un-editable for me.
To give you an example, I am using a portfolio plugin (the name is irrelevant), it shows a green button, and if I right click on it (I am using Firefox′s Firebug), and inspect, I see the following simple html code:
View More
I downloaded the entire WordPress directory, and using Notepad++, opened all the php files, did a search for “View More”, and found nothing.
Lest say I want to modify the “View More” text for something like “Read even More”, how can I proceed? Or what if I want to change the View More
to open in a new tab?
I consider myself and intermediate-advanced WordPress user, but this simple html task is killing me.
I guess my question is, how do I edit HTML content shown in the browser′s inspector/console, but not shown in WordPress′s files at all? Please do not answer based on the example I provided, it was just that, an example.
How do I edit HTML content shown in the browser′s inspector/console, but not shown in WordPress′s files at all? Is there a way to edit all the html content I see in the browser′s console?
I am using child themes, so I can make as many tests, changes as needed.

I have used Firebug once before to identify CSS to change for header variations, but have no real idea how to use it. I am okay with taking whatever I learn from Firebug and changing the CSS Stylesheet in the Editor, and I used Advanced Code Editor for the line #’s.
What am I looking for to change the white background, not the periphery background? How to change the colors on the Menu tabs, as well?
Thanks in advance for any help you guys/gals can give me.
Best,
Steve

I use FireBug and have noticed that when the The Debug Bar is installed, the debug feature finds an error within the Debug Bar itself. There is a script within the Debug Bar. FireBug displays:
Error: Failed to load script (nsresult = 0x805303f4)
When the Debug Bar is deactivated the above error disappears(From FireBug).
I’ve not found any scripts within my code that are unreahable.
Has anyone else has this issue? Its not a show stopper but i’m wondering if this is something that needs to be looked into.
Thanks

I’m not to technical, so please be patient with me I’ve tries to read other posts in the forum on this topic, but I don’t feel like it gives me a clear answer.
I am building a website: www.vaerl?semassage.dk.
I am building the website using a bough theme called barber.premiumcoding.com
There are a few parts in the theme I’d like to change, that the ‘drag and drop’ function does not allow me to.
Therefore I’d like to change a few things in the CSS. But when I use Firebug to investigate my website, the CSS I see there is not the same as I see when logged onto my WP account.
Can someone explain to me where I find the right sheet and if it safe to change a bit in it? I’ve read something about parten theme and child theme, and not changing the parent theme – however, I didn’t fully understand it.
Many many thanks!
Denice
